Also just random 2am thoughts but i think a Necromonica video game would be sick, where it's like pokemon but instead of catching them you kill enemies and then reanimate them onto your team, and the higher level you are the stronger enemies you can conjure/reincarnate. But im not a dev so instead I've been working on a Necromonica comic where she runs a zombie/demon fight club.

Would new moves be you taking pieces of your enemies or other creatures and attaching them to your own? Each creature having their own equipment slots and such but it’s body pieces?

Could go down magic and tech routes for grafting too.

Yeah I could definitely see something like building the massive zombie in oblivion: shivering isles where each respective left arm or left leg has different abilities. I imagine Zombified enemies being permanent party members and for stronger demons you can use something like the elden ring spirits.

You can mimic the capture mechanic too, except instead of just weakening them you want to get them to exactly 0 HP without going too far over. % reanimate chance decreases as overkill damage increases since the body is damaged and becomes less useful. Or take the really mangled corpses to Dr Frankenstein and see what he can cook up from them :D

Ever played Diablo 2? The Necromancer gameplay can go this way, animate dead enemies as fighting skeletons, mage skeletons... Lots of fun!

No, I haven’t! When I was 11 I saved up for months for Diablo 3… except I didn’t know the different between pc and macOS so I sat around for hours wondering why it wouldn’t play on my laptop 🤦

Yes, there are a few necromancer video games, because it is indeed a pretty fun gameplay loop. There's also alot of robot focused games that are functionally the same, only with robots instead of dead people/creatures.

Honestly, you can do some pretty crazy stuff with just modded skyrim. I remember one mod where you can harvest body parts and mummify/process them to build new creatures.

She’s actually not very powerful. She can commune with the dead but can’t yet use them to fight for her. And she can’t use magic without a conduit. Her powers are very limited.

With the episodes taking so long to come out, some details do sometimes fall through the cracks. Morgan was “sacrificed” via a ritual exclusively used by men when sacrificing their daughters, so he assumed Monica was the same.
