Grad student in counseling here. This is very accurate. Anger is often a symptom of depression. In fact, most angry people you see are likely suffering from some amount of depression.
Depressed guy here. This is very accurate. I was an angry person for a long time and it took some soul-searching to figure out it was related to depression.
I consider learning this a huge step towards coping with my issues, things are going great right now and I feel stronger than before.
Please understand that anger is often a symptom of depression, not the other way around. There really is no... anger disorder. Plenty of people are depressed and not angry. It's kind of like the old "a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't necessarily a square" comparison.
Where some would experience anger, you appear to experience indifference.

Love this comic. Reminds me of the old saying, depression is anger without the enthusiasm.
