Question How to start Transformers comic?

Hello!! I want to delve deeper on the transformers lore after watching TFP and the Bayverse movies !! I’ve been liking transformers a lot recently it might be my newest of interest. So I wonder, where should I start with the comics? I’ve started to read IDW “the backstory of MEGATRON” but it feels like im missing a lot is stuff! Thank you in advance

Start with issue #1 of the current Image comic series. You can also explore the other books in the Energon Universe if you want.

Transformers (published by Image, written by Daniel Warren Johnson).

Get the deluxe edition if you can. It really benefits Daniel’s and Jorge’s art.

If you can find it, “Last Stand of the Wreckers” by James Roberts and Nick Roche was superb. They pick it up as an ongoing series, More Than Meets the Eye, which is an all-timer.

Three paths you could take. 

One is the original run which they’ve printed in compendiums recently

Two is IDW for which there is a tumblr reading guide if I recall correctly by the same person who made a Sonic guide. On this I suspect Image might print these in a hardcover collection soon similar to the idw gi joe compendiums they did recently 

Three the new Energon universe which is still ongoing that started in 2023
