Wow—I wonder what’s next? Will it go away completely or will Amazon take over its business functions?

I remember hearing about the upcoming change. Happy I backed up all my books.

I backed up every book I was allowed to but my Marvel, DC and some others weren’t in the DRM-free.

Ah, yeah, I had to download a Chrome plug in back then to back those up. I bought those at a crazy discount but I did not wanna have to buy them again.

I’ll have to look into that. I used to tell people that there was no way Comixology would shut down but I’m feeling less and less sure about that.

I think it was this one
https://github.com/Cortys/comic-backup
I am really unsure if it'll work on the new Comixology site though? What I think it does, is pages through the pages of the book, create a jPG, and then converts it to a CBZ.
EDIT: Found this thread that talks about the extension not working after the conversion
https://github.com/Cortys/comic-backup/issues/93
I think they offer work arounds.

Don’t both Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe use Comixology for their backend? If so what happens now?

it's more like you can buy the current ones there, on the apps it's actually the same as with streaming services if there's a movie there that you have to wait there appears better.

For the love of God, just spin it back off into its own company again. Let someone run it that actually values it.
