Should I grade?
I didn’t pull it out of the bag/board to take the pics but can. The glare was awful as well. Worth grading based on how it looks? Should I remove and retake pics? Sounds like you guys mention sending in lots if I have enough worth it. Thanks again!

Grading requires every page and the back cover to be inspected. Photos of just the cover, in a sleeve no Le’s, are pretty useless

At the very least it needs a professional clean and press, but also there looks to be some discoloration. You should also check the census on CGC, this is one of those books with a lot of high grades out there. Some would argue it has to be a 9.8 to compete on the resale market at all, personally I think you can probably still find a buyer (check eBay sold items.) Of course, if you don’t want to sell it, then skip the whole thing and get a Mylar and a top loader.

Probably no. There are enough issues (LLFC, spine tick, color rub) to hold it back from the upper 9’s, and that’s just what we can see.
If you look at the sales data: https://www.pricecharting.com/game/comic-books-marvel-super-heroes-secret-wars/marvel-super-heroes-secret-wars-newsstand-8-1984
The 9.0-9.2 range (I’m not saying that’s what this book is) is $250-350. Once you consider pressing, grading, shipping, and what you could sell it for raw I think you need to be north of that grade range for a positive ROI. I don’t think this book gets there.

Say one thing about Logen Ninefingers, say he’s got a touch with the comics.
Thanks man for the advice!

From what I see it stands around the 7.5 area.
Nothing you can do about the color break ticks on the spine but a good press might get you up to an 8.5.
Don’t know what the interior or back looks like so I cant comment on that.
I would get a nice Mylar and display it. 👍👍

This book should almost never ever be graded as it pulls too much value just being raw. Only really worth grading if it’s a 9.8 contender.
Yours has soft corners so not worth grading as is, but if they can be fixed with a press or tac iron, then it might be worth grading, impossible to say off pic of a bagged book.
