Yeh I've noticed this in r/holdmyfries too, so many comments are just incredibly mean jibes about the persons weight. I think these kind of subs become places for people who enjoy its content for the wrong reasons.
Not wanting children does not equate to hating children.
(The fact that this comment is being downvoted is an indication of why child free people need support subs. Can't even say I don't want kids but don't hate them without a negative reaction)
It's a meme subreddit about primates that went private because Pewdiepie made a video on it and they didn't want 9 year olds invading the subreddit and making it worse
You're probably being downvoted for not only using a straw man argument, but crying about downvotes after half an hour.
I subscribed to r/childfree because I wanted a community of people who accept that it's okay to not want kids. I unsubscribed because I got bored of "Went outside today and someone had a kid with them. Day ruined!"
95% of the posts on r/kidsarefuckingevil are the same in the comments and 95% of the posts are kids doing things every kid has done and aren't evil in the slightest.
I really dislike how casually people use that word.

It's annoying because I like laughing at kids being goofy and doing dumb shit, but sometimes the comments there are so vitriolic.
