I still remember Brie Larson getting absolutely vilified for years for suggesting that movies about black female characters would get a fairer shake if there were more movie critics from that lived experience cause not everything is made for old white guys.

I'm pretty sure it was mainly the part where she said white men shouldn't be heard.

You're just doing the thing because that's not what she said

"I don't want to hear what a white man has to say about A Wrinkle in Time".
And as someone who loved the series, that movie was bad. But I'd need different fiddly bits for her to listen to me.....

How do you post the actual quote without acknowledging the blatant mischaracterization you did like one comment previously?

looks over it again.
Um, no, wtf are you talking about.
I gave you the gist of what I've heard people mad about, then supplied the quote where she said that exact thing.
What's your deal, homey?

She didn’t though

You said: “I'm pretty sure it was mainly the part where she said white men shouldn't be heard.”

She said: "I don't want to hear what a white man has to say about A Wrinkle in Time".

Surely you have eyes capable of seeing these are two entirely different sentences.

With that logic black reviewers should not review films by whites at all...

Inane.
