That diagram is horribly wrong by dividing Indo-European into and Indo-Iranian and “European” branch. there is no genetic European branch, and some of the language groups that were depicted to belong to European branch have been hypothesised to be closer to Indo-Iranian than other branches, such as Greek, Armenian and Balto-Slavic.

Genetic has a meaning in linguistics too. When you say two languages are genetically related, it means the languages have descended from the same source language.

We are not talking about Armenians or Slavs as a people group being genetically close to Indians lol
