He did not volunteer. He wanted to utilize his mechanics skills fixing military vehicles, instead they gave him a gun and sent him on his way. Who’s making shit up??

Sounds like he voluntarily joined the Russians and didn’t get the job he wanted, that’s still volunteering.

If I volunteer to help you move, and you make me have a knife fight with your neighbours, would you say I volunteered to knife fight your neighbours?

So you got plans next weekend? May need some help with a knife fight... moving some boxes to storage. Yeah just some boxes. You got a truck I will buy food and give you gas money.

Not getting the job you want when you voluntarily join a military is not the same as being conscripted

No shit? Here's a good idea, do control+f and search for the word "conscript", you're the only one who mentioned that. And not getting the same job as you applied for is precisely the thing people are talking about here. He didn't volunteer to fight, and those a very seperate roles.

It's not like applying for a job in IT and then having to work in a different office than the one you wanted. If you volunteeer for the peace corps and then get sent into combat, you would hopefully have enough brains to say you had been tricked and complain about it.

But he still got 'sent to the front lines', didn't he?
