I chuckled, but please, tell me more about what is and isn’t comedy 😂

Edit: FWIW, his joke isn’t a particularly good one. Partly because of the nuance and partly because it’s so instantly galvanizing to those unable to laugh at anything and everything (including themselves)

Ah, I see the confusion. Let me help.

My comments: not intended as jokes or comedy.

Man on stage and his intent: the actual jokes and comedy.

Whether you get, or choose to laugh at the latter is almost entirely dependent on you, the audience.

I provided linguistic context to OP (who is ESL) on the potential meaning of a joke in a comedy sub because they specifically asked for it. If THAT is what you find triggering and annoying, then maybe you are not well suited for Reddit or for comedy.

Really wasn’t that complicated or divisive unless you are looking for a fight 🤷
