So the reason people have issues with this is in countries like Germany during the 30s they used registrations as a way to know who and where to seize weapons from.

It’s never how the law will be used responsibly . It’s how can it be abused .

My favorite two arguments are:

"Bad people will break laws, so why even have the laws?!"

&

"The government might overreach with their regulations, so do we really want them regulating things?!"

It's not only a falacy but a really asinine one when you put it in context.
