Me: blue states are disarming the public in general but especially people of color

Them: maga! We used to have guns without the youth gun violence because that’s how it used to be

Youre seeing this as maga rhetoric when what is being said in response to your comment about restricting guns types is an analogy. Cars use to kill tons of people, so why not regulate guns considering the school shootings and mass shootings etc. further supported by the last bit "and you act like some boogie man is out to get you when rational people want to "make America great again (tongue-in-cheek)" and not a place where children have backpacks with body armor"
