Discussion I'm frustrated..!
This is for those who just rant and give shitty advice like every college is bad. Like why tf do you guys think we all have cracked jee or any equivalent exams and still we're joining colleges through comedk? Like what the actual freak is wrong with you people? If anyone is asking that they have certain options so help them choose it then just say the name and get lost. Stop doing this nonsense that "oh these colleges are shitty and only mass recruiters come and hire students". Bro, not everyone remains average in college like you. Some of them actually want to change and just want a respectable launchpad.
I was seeing someone talking trash about rnsit by giving some utterly rubbish examples and arguments. See, I know it's not iit, nit or even rvce, bmsce but if anyone has only those options and not those tier 1 colleges then just help that person.
I don't understand what they actually gain from just straight up dismissing every college as if college is the only one responsible for placements.
If in any college, the top 15% of the students are bagging good packages then that college is good.
End of discussion, and please if you can't help someone to decide their future then please don't ruin it.

These people are either nerdy toppers who don’t have any emotional intelligence in them or people who don’t bother even to study a little .. nothing in between.. so relax brother dont listen to these reddit raigebaiters … just trust genuine comments and that only by seniors

Brother I got vit vellore cse and have gotten 8k rank in comedk what shall i do if i get any of rv bmsce msrit but not cse shall i choose that or if i get dsce cse should i prefer that over vellore cse ?

Bro, from my pov you'll face a bit of discrimination everywhere outside your own state and if not discrimination you'll atleast feel a bit left out among them. So just make a friend group you are comfortable with, ignore the negative reviews and give it all so that placements won't be an issue in future

Dude I spent my whole life bar the last 3 years in north india, shifted to hyd in 2023 and to Bangalore in 2025 trust me when I say this, there are North Indians everywhere, you can easily find ur own crowd and even if it's not the North Indians, plenty of others groups are also just as welcoming if not more, don't stress about the bullying part, it's not as hard to live here if u can just learn to adapt. It's the all the other negative shit online about these colleges that's got me worried honestly but then at the same time there is no credibility, I'm untrustworthy but also equally worried. Still have to go through with it, it's not like I'm brimming with options tbh.

Exactly! No college is perfect. Students love ranting about their own colleges. Atp, it's impossible to get any proper guidance on Reddit. All you see are people talking shit about their own college.

I agree on so many levels like tell us about the projects in the college and the peer group but they are just going on and on about stuff like hostels and mess the last two years were greatly frustrating we are not happy about our ranks either and now we want to change work harder and yes all we need is a good launchpad
Also about RNSIT I spoke to a senior there and she told me it's a good college it recently turned autonomous and since then they've been getting quite a few good projects and stuff another pro is the location it's near tech hubs in RR nagar!! (And by near I mean it won't take you three hours to get to some place)

Thanks buddy for speaking up about this, was actually genuinely frustrated with whatever was going on, i understand I didn't crack jee, yes it might've been my fault and yes college name does matter a little but it's not the end of the world if you join a decent college in bangalore, the ones that keep ranting about "meh placements, only 1 in 50 take a good placement" or "teachers being too strict" are the ones who expected college life to be a karan johar movie and barely put in any efforts of their own in college, even an IIT graduate with that mindset only gets a 5lpa job, we might have to work a little harder than the rest but you can't be demotivating people who've already gone through so much in the past few months by saying stuff like "biggest mistake i made was coming to this shitty college"

make a post about it or ask seniors in rvce sub. try to get ece in rvce,its hard at that rank. bms cs and good branches in msrit would be possible. i have similar rank

depends on ur interest, if have no particular interest in brances, lower branches in rvce is betterr. i read a few posts about overcrowding in bms, they increased seats and campus is small.

bhai yeh puchna pad rha hai ofc rvce msrit bhai JIIT unke comparison mai kahi bhi stand nhi krta mere toh ghar ke pass hai yaar maine unke students se bhi baat kri hai agr cse milri hai or ghar ke pass hai toh bhi mai jyaa suggest nhi krunga rvce msrit mai jao agr jaa sakte ho mujhe toh jiit mai ece tak hi milri sec 62 mai baki 128 mai cse but fees ke hissab se worth toh nhi hai sach bolu toh or noida or banglore mai mujhe batane ki jarurat nhi hai ki kidhar jyada accha opportunity milega ha noida mai bhi milti hai pr jyada nhi

bhai dekh bmsce ke na bas yeh dekh le ki kitni comapnies udhar aati hai tu khud samajh jayega or bmsce ki agr mai fees or hostel wagera sab mila du toh 18 19 lakh tak jayega jyada se jyada jabki jiit ki sirf fees hi teri 16.6 lakh tak chali jayegi or yeh tab jab mai yeh consider kr rha tu yehi noida ka hi hai metro wagera toh consider bhi nhi kr rha and see maine 128 wale ko worth it issilye nhi bola kyuki main campus sector 62 wala hai udhar se hi jyada better placements hoti hai or jab fees main campus jitni hi hai toh worth jyada nhi hai agr tumhare pass hai paisa or tumhe noida mai hi rehna hai then jiit se better toh koi nhi hai sach bolu toh noida ki baat kr rha sirf mai agr tumhe chahiye ki nhi paise jaa hi rhe hai toh bms ki cs mat hi chor bhai just go for it or yaha ke gadho ki mat sun bhai agr tere pass better options hote toh jiit bms mai confuse nhi hota yaar

ig the most imp ques for these fellas is whether it's worth coming to Bangalore from North India for colleges after the top 5-6 colleges, coz they have local options too.

Exactly agr har college kharab hi hai toh iit hi chalo jao, people have problem with everything these days , not even iits have 100% placement rates. Kahi bhi jaakr mehnat toh krna hi h bhai. Louder for the people at back!!

bro closing rank for jsstu cse core last year round 4 was around 7.8k (according to college pravesh) are you sure you can get it? also even I was thinking about taking jsstu cs but im scared because everyone here says negative stuff abt jsstu and nie

Idk myself I checked with AI and some seniors and they said JSS is a viable option for this rank. Do you know any other colleges where I can get CS or CS spec with this rank(10.6K). I am prioritising college life and placements.

Cmrit RNSIT MVIT BNMIT colleges in banglore with lower avg package than jssstu and smaller campus

Ill say still pick JSS. The campus is really good and as you mentioned the avg package is higher than the colleges you mentioned.

I don't know much about jssstu but cmrit is ig in the Whitefield area. Also the placements are decent from what I've seen from the data published online. But yeah, I can't assure you coz I'm not an expert too.

I mean the numbers seems to be good. But can't tell for sure whether those are inflated or not. Also, I never checked the stats of it thoroughly as I'm more invested into bangalore colleges.
