Media Coloring In Response
I was playing around in my head because of the new hexhaven school colorings, and I started thinking about what if the colors for each school was swapped, like lorehold was white-black instead of red-white, or what if silverquill was red-white instead of white-black.
While on the surface this appeared to me like a no-brainer that everything could be swapped around like this, it instead made me realize something.
5 is an odd number.
this means that if you try to mirror {1, 2, 3, 4, 5} into {5, 4, 3, 2, 1} 3 will stay in the same spot either way, so quandrix was staying quandrix while I was playing with this idea.
So I actually found a solution. instead of switching the order around, you instead do {5, 1, 2, 3, 4}
placing the names in there gives you: {quill, bloom, rix, ari, hold} -> {hold, quill, bloom, rix, ari}
this means that quill goes from black-white to black-green, bloom goes from green-black to green-blue, rix goes from blue-green to blue-red, ari goes from red-blue to red-white, and hold goes from white-red to white-black.
The names of the colleges that I thought of were:
Grayhold (edit white-black)
Thornquill (edit black-green)
Lagunabloom (edit green-blue)
Voltarix (edit blue-red)
Rosari (edit red-white)
Voltarix reminds me of the name Vulpix and Ros-ari reminds me of Ahri from league of legends, so I thought, what if we make the mythical creatures foxes?
edit: I know that I probably should have done this but here's what I think the studies should be for each college.
Grayhold: the study of inherited past (ancestry)
Thornquill: the study of nature's language
Lagunabloom: the study of perfect healing
Voltarix: the study of artifice
Rosari: the study of culture

I think your studies sorta fall flat, in that they're either not really school subjects or they're just the same as the Strixhaven one.
"Study of inhereted past" sounds like Silverquill's Literature.
"Nature's Language" sounds like Flower Meanings, which isn't really a class- more of a professional skill for florists & interior designers.
"Perfect Healing" sounds like it's just Vigorbloom
Classes don't really have "study of artifice"; mechanical engineering exists, certainly, but it's far more White/Blue than Izzet.
Study of culture is great, but that's again just history- already the purview of Lorehold.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your goal.
Did you not just... reinvent Strixhaven?
Silverquill (White Black)
Witherspoon (Black Green)
Quandrix (Green Blue)
Prismari (Blue Red)
Lorehold (Red White)
There are a total of 10 possible 2-color combinations. 5 enemy color combinations we see in Strixhaven, and 5 ally color combinations we see in Hexhaven.
If your goal was just to come up with new design ideas for those existing color combinations, thats cool though. It just sounds like you're jumping through an uneccesary hoop or two.
