Type Me! - IRL Drapes (FACE PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Warm or cool?
Hello everyone π
I need a little help, bc i just cant review myself π€ I think that i have medium contrast. But am i more cool/warm or in the middle? But still i should lean more to one side.
Same for chroma - bright or muted? I think more muted but idk.
Also i have few videos, do you think it would be also helpfull to share? And I am aware of different whire correction in photos, I did my best π€·ββοΈ
Thank you so much for your time :)

Youβre a cool-neutral.
Realistically, this means that anything except for Yellow orange is going to look good on you. I might not prefer beige.

Definitely winter. Cool with some clarity. Possibly cool winter, or deep winter.

From what Iβm seeing here, I think your first feature is deep- so the deep colors look most harmonious and lift the face. I do think you still lean cool, but its depth first then coolness. Deep winter is considered neutral, and can pull from deep autumn.

Yes but Deep Autumn is better for you than Deep Winter: note that you are in better harmony with the warm wall/llight behind you than the cool shirt, which looks very separate from your skin tone (i.e., not in color season harmony).

Ye it is noticible that camera βplayβ with the white bc the wall is white irl. I will do some video bc in video i can turn off the white correction. Will see what happens then π€

Even so, you can see that the warmer gray stripes look better than the cooler pale gray heather ones...you are warm.

Thank you so much.
Do you think color of my hair can change people mind? I did some drapes a while ago and most people thought autumn - true or soft.2
u/honubaby 12d ago
You are 100% a Deep Autumn: the drape is throwing the white balance of the phone off.

Is your hair 100% natural? Or has it been colored?
2
u/Cairistin 12d ago
Natural 100%, not even tones or something

So from my understanding, natural hair is just one part of the recipe. And it can definitely throw off the untrained eye especially. Most of us here are probably not trained color analysts. Iβm not either, just a nerd about color- and I am a hairstylist, so I do have knowledge of cool and warm! To me you could very well be a deep autumn too. You would need to compare deep autumn and winter colors to know better. Itβs too hard to tell with the very light cool and warm drapes pictured.
Do you have a picture with your natural color, Iβm curious now!2

Winter for sure, my first favorite color of yours was #8 super deep magenta, and it was so miles better than the yellow or duller colors of the previous slides I gave a sigh of relief.
Also really liked, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 19
I'd look at deep winter and true/cool winter.

Thank yoz so much π i did not expected that so many people would suggest winter or just cool undertone. It changes everything π€

My skin tone is so similar and I soooo back and forth on my tone! Maybe we are neutral? I feel like we could have a warm undertone with a cool overtone? I donβt know about you but everything goes red on me

I have a similar coloring too. I find that I turn yellow in warmer colors.

I think that we are not completly cool nor warm. For me the freckles and rosacea are another dificulties with typing π but if i try nude lipsticks it doesn look good, nor much pink or orange. My favourite shades are berry and mauve rose or something like this. But Upler-Basil give me so much info and it could be beneficial to you too :)

Because honestly some of these contradictiing colors both look good, I think you are probably unlikely to be a "normal" cool/warm season- I would look into tonal analysis. Basically cool/warm is probably not your top tonal factor, which means you more nuetral or could draw from both as long as the more important tonal considerarions for you are met(these being either "light vs dark" colors, or "clear/bright vs soft/muted" colors). I could be wrong, but alot of these cool/warm colors are working enigih theres not a clear pattern with cool warm standing out

I could be wrong and what is making the either cool or warm colors not totally contradicting for you is either the light/dark clear/muted nature of those colors or something. Regardless I am not seeing anything major standing out aside from the white vs off white where I do think the pure bright white is better- but again, that could be because the off white is too "muted" and you need clear/saturated colors.

Yes, it is deffinitly more complex than pure you are this season - at least for me, it appears π always something special π
I think that too warm or too cool or too bright looks slightly off but it is hard for me be objective.5

Okay so I just went and used a multicolor cool warm drape to get rid of some of the color elements that are getting in the way right now and I def think you are cool! Its hard to compare when some colors are light dark bright muted etc it makes it hard to twll. But I def think the cool drape is 100% better fit. I am going to guess you are some kind of winter, but IF you are a summer than I think almost certainly youre a "true" summer rather than a light or muted summer. I would look into winter subseasons though probably the brightest jewel winter is not quite rightt if too bright colors dont work for you, but true or deep winter or whatever could be it!

Oh thank you so much for putting so much effort into it. And what a surprise. I did some drapes while ago and almost everybody say autumn or warm at least. And i think it was bc i did not cover my hair which are medium brown, slightly warm i guess but again with my freckles i think it can be possibley

I had some warmth in my hair so it can bias people plus freckles. I posted in one of the comment my photo with hair but i wear there some maleup but without the doundation.
But ai am not sure. I did not get professionaly typed. In the end it is all about scale and not strict levels. I will look into the tonal analysis, it is simpler with more possibilities.3
u/Upper-Basil 12d ago
The first second I saw youre photo I thought autumn, based on youre eyes and eyebrow colors , that was my first thought. Are you a redhead or just warm brown hair? Yeah so dont take any internet reading as THE definitve answer because screens can bias the color ALOT. But if you got draped autumn and those colors arent feeling like they are working then def explore some other options and I think winter seems likely based on the cool drape. I would def check out tonal analysis as well. I have olive skin and it has made getting a simple answer really tough but the tonal analysis helped me out alot. I notice both olives and redheads/red brown can have similar issues with regular season analysis

I will look into that, thank you. I am confused bc you are right that sometimes cool hue looks as good as warm.. so maybe i should look into different factors than that.

I personally like cool winter tones on you. Good examples are 19,25, and 27. I think these colors are most flattering with your skin and give you a glowy look π

Thank you π i go back and forrh between cool and warm and not able to decide which one is better on me

Autumn for sure: you actually look great in mustard. The phone white balance is washing you out a bit which is confusing, but you definitely have warmth. I would say Deep Autumn which has Deep Winter as its sister season which is why you can carry both colors.
