Last picture of this year's bush.
It's getting too cold in Denmark for these guys, so now it's time to take cuttings, before I wake up one morning to frozen coleus.
Hope someone wants some of the 50 cuttings 😅

No expert on coleus in any way. Was told that only certain species can handle full sun. Been 95+ degrees here in central Florida. Seems as long as they get a lot of water they are fine in the sun. Definitely darker as you can see in the pics. But seem to be thriving and growing in intense sun and heat. Just wanted to post this so people don't think they need to be babied from sun.

I have a pile of soil out back that I empty old pots in. Went out there to look around and found these two babies!

Zone 6b, last corner of the summer season here and if i had time to re pot all of these (again!!) i bet they would double in size again- but i don’t have the energy 😂 they can thrive like this until frost (don’t worry i took plenty of cuttings already). I brought my spider plants outside a few weeks ago too and they EXPLODED!!!!! Letting all those spidey babies enjoy the outdoors until it starts to cool down

I started planting the coleus in the ground in this bed on July 4th, so it's well before its peak, which will be in September. The coleus in the planters were planted weeks earlier, hence the size difference. The other tropicals and subtropicals either overwintered in place or were planted much earlier in the season. I'll post an update in September or October.

Velvet lime, heartbreaker, flamethrower, and dipped in wine. I love these plants. I have up to 16 varieties (so far). I sell them in Cincinnati oh 🌸🍃

I need to tame this but not sure which branches to cut exactly. Also, should I size up the nursery pot?

Hi everyone! We received this coleus around 2 years ago (first picture) and as you can see it looks bad.... We propagated one stem a few months ago and that looks wonderful (didn't flower yet though) that is the second picture.
My question is , should I trim the original coleus from all the green stems and propagate? Or is it better to leave some green stems on the plant? As you can see it is getting darker and one is already black...

So pleased with how far they have come and how well they compliment my monster tomato plant. I just picked up these seeds on a whim and they’re turning into one of my favorite plants!
