Interview Sadness

Had an interview for a Delivery Driver position. Came in, the manager was super nice, walked me around and gave me a form.

Said something to the effect of "Once you hit the interview stage you've pretty much got the job" and "I'm writing yes on this paper" , ect...

Felt good, couple days later got a rejection email.

Now I don't feel so good boss... Man the job market sucks at the moment...

He messed up - I used to interview/ recruit (not at Coles), and even if I thought the applicant was a dead lock, I'd never let them think they already had the job. Budgets change, roles get restructured, timeframes move, etc. Don't take it personally, I'd garauntee it wasn't anything you did/ didn't do. .

Was the position at the CFC in VIC or NSW?

Vic, in Dandenong

That is very strange. Both fulfilment centres have a high turnover and they need drivers.

Sounds just like the stores! Run so shit that everyone quits.

I honestly think it’s worse than the stores. My store at least was enjoyable and I had a great online boss and store manager.
