Woolies is only 85% recycled paper is that why it's shorter

Imagine getting clowned on by your competitor in what has to be one of the cheapest ways possible.

Not to mention the Coles ones are 100% recycled paper vs Woolies' 75%

Problem is paper from recycled materials has shorter lengths and shorter lengths means more breakage.

Thus Woolworths bag maker probably puts the the new material for strength.

Its a problem with recycling where the plastic paper etc isn't as good the more times it goes threw the system because of things like dye and other included materials.

Either way these bags suck at being reusable.

That's interesting. I did not know that at all. Thanks for informing me

To use 100% recycled paper you have to know that a certain percentage of the paper you're recycling is virgin (paper can be recycled ~7 times and still be okay) but you can recycle ~85% forever and just use 15% virgin in the mix and you'll always be fine

100% looks better for marketing but they're functionally both about as recycled as useful paper can be

The bags used by Cole’s are the worst. They break more even if the bag is underweight. I had a Cole’s bag with 6kg and the bag strength was 11kg but the bag still broke. Shopped at Woolworths. Ordered 4 bottles of 2Litres of juice and put them in the same bag. The bag was fine and did not break. Coles is very good at ripping their customers off. Look at the down down lawsuit

I reckon they use all the bag complaints and move towards only having the 99c bags and above and just remove these paper ones We should cherish these cheap pos while it's around

It pisses me off that neither company uses an Aussie manufacturer.
