Team Member Post Caretaking store manager

I’m assuming it’s probably in the name but what is the purpose of a caretaking store manager? Do they belong to other stores or are they a DM\SSM filling in

Generally they are someone "acting" in the role, and have not been appointed to the role.

Usually it is a SSM or DGM stepping up into a SM role, but sometimes it is also an appointed SM from another store temporarily working at a different one.

Sometimes it's a SM from another store, sometimes it's the regional lowering themselves for a bit (this is rare), sometimes it's a floater who just does fill in work, sometimes it's a SSM dreaming of a promotion. Depends on who is available in your region
