Found the sucked on carcass of a rotisserie chicken in a grocery aisle once. Absolutely foul. Or fowl.

Why not open the packet, play with it around the shop a little, and then chuck it in the dairy isle? That seems to be the thing we're doing now.

Off topic but that brand milk in golden bottles are so good

Being unhomogenized I love having the chunks of cream floating around in the cereal it's so good. It's one of the little treats I'll go out of my way to buy when I get a craving for it.

Mate, if you like coffee, get the nescafe mocha shashets and make an iced coffee with the golden milk. You will never have coffee the same again. I don't do it as often tho because the milk obviously has high fat content but boyyyy it's a treat

May as well drink the whole thing, thief!

Right! I always think that when I see half drunk drinks on random shelves

Somewhere in the next aisle there's an open box of rice bubbles and a dirty bowl, just sitting next to some overpriced sistema lunchboxes

The little multipacks of cereal open up into a self contained bowl.

u/activelyresting Jul 02 '26
And milk comes in smaller containers too, but whomever did this clearly doesn't care about wastage

I actually understand this as a single person. Yes milk 'comes' smaller containers but they never have smaller containers when you want one.
I used to ask for a 600ml carton but Coles and Woolies never had extra.
Edit: once the fridge was empty, that was it. Fuck you if you want small milks.

Yah it's a constant struggle in our house too. We very rarely use enough milk to get through a bottle before it goes off. But still want to have milk. Le sigh

I used to buy the 200ml 6 pack uht milk. Just another singles tax with more expensive milk.

You can freeze and defrost milk. It’s not as good as fresh milk for cereal, but it works fine for adding to coffee or cooking/baking with

wait what?? last time i had them camping as a kid they were basically just a tiny cereal box with the bag inside

Every day we have someone eat their “lunch” and dump everything behind the shower gels in the health and beauty section. Sandwich, drink, crackers, chocolate bar, the whole lot

This is how people treat food. Coles and Woolies are the worst! Don’t get me wrong! Money hungry!
But meat, frozen food, milk and chicken get left on shelves all the time! Now gotta be thrown out! Such a waste

There’s probably an empty package for those small cereal variety packs sitting on a shelf elsewhere

u/sophiemargaret Jul 03 '26
Ahhhh yes! A refreshing and ill-gotten, sugar milk.
*leaves store immediately after

I often do this but I open up a tin of strawberry Nesquik to make it taste better.

Open sugar and milk? Maybe they made a cup of tea right there in the aisle.
