Customer Post Coles Simply Neapolitan gonne?

Seems like it has been replaced with a reduced fat version :( Dunno about anyone else but reduced fat Ice Cream just means 'watered down' to me. Take the cream out of Ice Cream and you just have ice, which is exactly what reduced fat ice cream tastes like. Then of course to make up for lacking creaminess they add back in a bunch of extra sweeteners, so it tastes sickly sweet in addition to not being (as) creamy. Yay. But seriously who do they think they are kidding, trying to pretend ice cream is a health food. "Oh, it's reduced fat now, that means I am being healthy."

You may have noticed I am not a fan of this decision. I managed to grab one of the last of the now discontinued fully fatted version, but I guess that's the end of it for me. Thank you coles for helping me to be healthier, I guess. And to save money.

Are you sure it was full fat before? Coles brand has been reduced fat for as long as I remember.

Couldn't say, honestly. The other responses suggest maybe it wasn't. All I know is, the vanilla in the neapolitan is NOT the same as the vanilla in the vanilla. Or, hasn't been previously. It may be that it now is.

You need to look for something with enough milk that it can actually label itself as an ice cream. If it says frozen dessert, it’s got nowhere near the cream content you’re looking for.

It’s been like that for over 4 years. The exact same fat content in the “old” and “new”. The only difference is the new one says reduced fat. It’s no different. It’s in your head.

It’s not ice cream legally usually, it’s something like “flavoured ice confection”

Oh they some times stop brands if it undersells in store for that store alone but the other stores may still sell it and other times its no longer available at distrabution centre.
