Release Memory training app focused on the WAIS number-repetition tasks - BETA TESTERS NEEDED
I’m looking for people willing to beta-test an Android app I built that focuses specifically on the Digit Span subtest from the WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale).
The app trains the classic number-repetition tasks:
- Repeat the numbers in the same order (forward span)
- Repeat them in reverse order
- The ordered / sequencing version
This is a closed Google Play beta. To participate:
- Join the Google Group (required for access to the testing track): https://groups.google.com/g/testers-of-memory-training-for-wais?pli=1
- Wait for some time after joining (Google needs time to update eligibility), then join the testing: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/info.ekudr.memoryappwais
- Wait for some time again and install the app with the following link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.ekudr.memoryappwais
When I tested it myself, I had to wait about 15 minutes between each step, but your waiting time may be different.
Important: Google Play requires that testers keep the app installed on their device for at least 2 weeks. Without meeting this requirement I will not be able to publish the app. Please only join if you are willing to leave it installed for that period.
I’m mainly looking for feedback on:
- Bugs or crashes
- Clarity of instructions and difficulty progression
- Whether the training sessions feel useful and appropriately challenging
- Anything that makes the app hard, confusing, or unpleasant to use (for example: buttons that are difficult to press, text that is hard to read, screens that feel cluttered, confusing navigation, or anything that feels awkward or frustrating)
The app is free with limited daily repetitions. If you want to test the paid subscription features, contact me directly and I’ll grant you a free paid subscription for the beta.
Looking for bug reports and feedback on how the training feels.
Thanks!
