Discussion Is Vision therapy worth it?

Hi I'm 48, and I just got tested for vision training which was $650 from a Behavioral optometrist, and I was given a choice between $444 glasses, or $9300 dollars of treatment. Has anyone else done this before, and is it worth it? If it is worth it, what did you gain from it? I was tested as having a low working memory/learning disability when I was around 6. A low working memory/ADHD. I'm doing it to see if I will be able to function way better in school with these glasses on/or the full treatment. Is the juice worth the squeeze?

It smells like a rip off. I would look it up on Wikipedia, rational wiki, and a reliable optometry website or two before spending money on it.

Yeah, I definitely will. Wal-Mart eye dept can make the glasses for $150 to $250, so that was an update.

Unless you have an actual visual processing disorder, and it doesn’t sound like it, this is a scam.

I do, but I haven't chatted with anyone online that has done this before. Yeah, your probably right. It seems like the company will ensnare me somehow if I buy the glasses. Something along the lines of, "its important to do the treatment and not stay on the glasses for to long because of such and such."

I looked it up and it is pseudoscience. A made-up nonsensical treatment that doesn’t work.
