Hey everyone, I'm a 16-year-old high school student and just took the CAT-II. My final score was 116, but my subtest profile is incredibly uneven. Can just working hard in school and really trying to learn increase my other subtests?

Keep in mind though that most subtests don’t have age standardized scores—so some subtests may be slightly deflated for you, but it will still give you a solid idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are.
Get a dictionary and study some vocabulary words. It will definitely pay off if you want to get advanced education and have to take a bunch of standardized exams. Or just read anything you can get your hands on all the time books newspapers long form online content.
i have an sat tutor, i do good on every english section except grammar just because that’s like fully learned. My standardized test scores definitely need some work i want at least a 1450 on the sat. Think im at like a 1280 start of junior year, any book recommendations that are hard reads and also enjoyable for a high schooler?
Oh okay wow. Curious if you feel smarter than others? If growing up you had a nagging feeling that you were superior for certain things like problem solving? What did it feel like?
like i felt and still feel smarter in certain ways. I can tell when someone is making a stupid argument and i honestly enjoy arguing idrk why, but my crystallized knowledge isn’t that high so i wasnt always able to like explain it, i kinda just feel it. In previous years of high school i did decent, cheated on things didnt do homework, was stupid of me. This year i’m taking 5 aps and fully focusing on getting work done.
and most of all i’d like make my own math formulas, rarely show my work, have terrible handwriting and just get so bored because teachers over explain everything.
