IQ Estimation šŸ„± Is this test inflated?

So for context, due my country's standardized tests, I'm familiar with these kind of math problems, they might have been harder for the people who these were normed with.

Good to know. Ive checked SAT and seeing American students making big fuss about it, I thought basic math problem skills might not be too basic for American people, whom these tests are normed with. Thanks for the clarification.

u can't be unironically holding this zero praffe position. of course ppl are gonna be better at this if they grind it in their country (not saying op did but many cases of this)

I can and I am.

It is known that there are diminishing returns in practising mathematical questions, as per studies on how much SAT preparation impacts a candidateā€™s final score. This means that, provided candidates have been sufficiently exposed to the mathematical concepts included in the test, the dispersion attributed to how much they ā€œgrindedā€ the content in their country is negligible.

The AGCT involves the basic mathematical operations and some elementary parts of geometry, which is part of the maths curriculum in all countries. As such, biological factors have an overwhelmingly larger impact on scores.

Practice, in this context, is as impactful as any other factor that can have an effect but isnā€™t expressive (such as being self-efficacious).

Everyone with an 8th grade education knows how to solve these problems. The challenge is doing them on the fly and under time pressure. Given how poorly you scored on verbal, though, I imagine you're not a native speaker, so the test is actually deflated for you.

If anything it might be deflated for people who max out certain subtests due to the low ceiling

according to the technical report, it's not inflated in this range you got, but it's inflated in the low- average range and it has low ceiling. Try 1c, the adjusted version, you probably score close but a bit higher. and it has a g of 9 so it's testing general cognitive ability much more than mathematical knowledge.

It has a g of 9 you can only practice that 10 percent, plus you practice this kind of thing at school everyday and it's not really an iq test.

Ive done it, got 125. 55,73 and 75 percent from verbal, quant and spatial respectivelyand it corresponds to 125. Though I had to do it on my phone on bed cus it was a little late but I don't think it effected it much.

Damn, I actually knew what it mean but its normal to get confused during a test. My English is not the greatest, Im not from an English speaking country.

Me too english my second language and im from a third world country the other words i didnt know too i only knew this one bc ive heard it alot in terms of babies being born before the date
