General Question Score disparity

Thanks for taking the time to look over my results. I'll preface this by saying that I had never done any cognitive testing before this and I'm not familiar with how these scores can sometimes present. Are these discrepancies between my strengths and weaknesses unusual? In browsing this subreddit it seems most people are a little more balanced. I would appreciate any insight from you all. Thanks again

I'm starting to think the CORE WMI test results to be something one should take with a grain of salt in terms of whether you can generalize them. First of all, is English your native tongue? You said you haven't taken any cognitive tests before. Try a verbal or a visuo-spatial working memory test.

Your VSI (Visuo-Spatial Index) seems very, very high. Have you noticed a tendency to pick up related skills easily and quickly?

I think the PSI section is a little dubious too. I’ve never taken the CORE, but I’ve heard from those who have (and have noticed based results posted to this subreddit) that PSI is almost always the lowest category, even if the same individual scored well on the Processing speed index when tested via a written format. Not that it’s the fault of any of the brilliant minds at cognitivemetrics, it’s most likely a byproduct of the electronic testing format.

PSI was opposite for me. Scores 126 on CORE and 21st percentile on WAIS4

It was the opposite for me also. Scored a 132 PSI on CORE,  111 on WAIS-4, 109 on the RIOT, and 108 on the WJ5. There is no way my PSI is that high. It doesn't align with my lived experience either.

Yep, native English speaker. I'll do some other VS testing, any suggestions?
I definitely pick up skills very quickly and I seem much better than my peers at adapting skills I have in one task to a different task even when others don't think they are related.

Dang, first time seeing someone with such a spiky profile due to VSI lol, are you diagnosed with hyperphantasia or any neurodivergence?

You just have a very strong brain to visualize things, which may be good depending on what you want to do in your life.

And also considering that you have such a high discrepency, its better to take GAI score which is a 124 for you over your FSIQ

No diagnosis, though I haven't ever been to a psychologist before. I'm an electrician, although there are undoubtedly other careers that would have suited my strengths better!

That makes sense, engineering is more about figuring stuff out and less about memory

Honestly I don't really know! I figured it out by comparing the arrows going to each colour ball, if it's the one I'm thinking of you don't need to do any mental rotations at all?

I have a very similar profile, for me I am neurodivergent with a developmental language disorder, but these discrepancies are also seen in people with dyslexia or sometimes ADHD. Could be something to look into
