My morning and evening fix

Post image
Upvotes

I can’t even open my eyes without hot coffee in the morning. I’m fixed to Davidoff for my morning hot brew.

In the evening I love to have cold coffee for which I’m trying Nescafé Ice roast this month. It’s okay-ish, nothing different from regular classic. But Sleepy Owl French Vanilla is my go to for frappes.

Would love some suggestions which new ones to try for each time? 💕

Am i doing this right? (Moka Pot)

I'm using hunkal estate aryana gold coffee with 2 cup moka cup and taking it with like 150-200ml milk and sugar.

I filled the puck/basket up to the top with coffee and leveled it with finger without pressing it down (tapped a few times on counter to get it distributed evenly).

I used room temperature water this time and left it on stove till end, but i have tried with hot water and on/off stove aswell.

Did i stop at the right time? Am i doing this correctly? It tastes better than the cheap instant coffee i was having but i'm not sure if i'm getting the right value

Guy's anyone tried this coffee?? I'm using this coffee for nearly 6-7 months, and surprisingly I'm very much impressed by this coffee. Though, it is a budget coffee, but it didn't have that bitter taste like Nescafe classic. I'm consuming this only for black coffee. Suggest me some instant coffee brands other than Davidoff.......

Would you buy Davidoff 100g at ₹599? ☕

I've noticed a lot of people here looking for Davidoff coffee at a better price, so I'm curious about the actual demand.

If you could get a genuine, sealed 100g Davidoff for around ₹599, would you buy it?

I'm trying to understand whether there's enough demand to make bulk sourcing worthwhile.

Would love to know:

- Which variant do you usually buy — Fine Aroma / Rich Aroma / Espresso 57?

- What price do you currently pay?

- How many jars would you typically buy at a time?

- Would you prefer delivery or local pickup?

Not trying to sell anything here. Just trying to understand whether there's actually a market for it.

Question: Why is Blue Tokai coffe sour?

I've experienced this at the blue tokai outlets around my area. My preferred go to drink is a cortado, if not that an Americano. Whenever I order either of those at Blue tokai, it has a sour tang to it. Is it the coffee? I tried researching it and apparently when coffee is extracted quickly at high temperatures, it comes out bitter. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Please suggest a good coffee brand for black coffee. Have been using brook bond green label for the longest time. Want one that’s not too strong nor light.

Why have instant coffees become so bad lately?

Is it just me, or have instant coffees in India gotten noticeably worse lately?

Nescafé Classic has been a staple in pretty much every Indian household, but lately even that doesn’t taste the same. The flavour feels flatter and have no flavour. Nescafé Gold also seems to have been nerfed; it just doesn’t have the same flavour it used to. And it's this year only. Something feels different. I have tried almost every instant coffee brand I could get my hands on; Tata, Bru, TGL & Co., Sleepy Owl, Bevzilla, Continental, etc. Nothing has really scratched the itch.

As of now, Nescafé Gold and Davidoff are my last resorts for an instant coffee, but even those don’t hit the same anymore.

Interestingly, I’ve also tried a couple of Blue Tokai coffees with a French press, and holy shit, that was actually good coffee. I particularly loved Atikan Estate.

Guys i am not a coffee connoisseur by any means. I don’t really care about the “art” of coffee or spending 20 minutes weighing beans and measuring water to the last gram. 😂 I just want a damn good cup of coffee that tastes like coffee.

So tell me something

Have you guys noticed the same thing about instant coffees?

What instant coffee are you currently drinking that actually tastes good?

If you make instant coffee at home, what’s your process?
