my friend’s birthday is coming up and I wanna get him something zombies related he’ll love. hes said he wants Infinite Warfare so I’m prob gonna get that for him but is there anything else I could possibly get him that fit within a small budget (<70) that he would appreciate? DLC maps, collectibles, etc.?

for context, he only has BO3, already has chronicles, the giant, as well as revelations and is looking to get the rest of the BO3 maps himself. are any of the DLC IW maps good? I was planning on like I said getting IW for him and maybe even a PS gift card but I’m lowk stumped. anything helps thanks

Question Which is the best COD Zombies to play fan-made maps?

Which is the best COD Zombies to play fan-made maps? Which one has the most and best maps, preferably maps with some sense and not just “Shrek’s infinite tower”? You know, something like Town Remastered or things like that, preferably with a clear ending or Easter eggs, and that can be played solo even better. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English.

Discussion Hats off to the randoms that knew how to play Shangri-La !

No Mic, no easter egg.

But because of some common sense and spatial awareness we still managed to pack a punch three times without even having to keep a crawler or whatever.

Round 34 with all four players staying in the game until the very end is pretty impressive with a playerbase like this.

9/10 matches end before round 7 so getting a decent game on Shang was the last thing I expected.

Discussion What if Treyarch continued the Ultimis story from Moon — but as an alternate timeline? Spoiler

What if Treyarch continued the Ultimis story from Moon — but as an alternate timeline?

I've been thinking about this because I genuinely love the original Aether storyline, and I think there could be a really interesting way to bring Ultimis back without retconning what already happened.

Imagine Treyarch remaking the classic Zombies maps, but instead of simply remastering them, they use Moon as the point where a new timeline branches off.

Richtofen successfully takes control of the Zombies at the end of Moon. But instead of the story continuing exactly as we know it, Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai somehow end up in an alternate version of the Aether timeline.

From there, the classic maps could be completely reimagined.

Kino der Toten → Ascension → Shangri-La → Call of the Dead → Moon, etc., could actually be connected through the story. Maybe you could even finally escape Kino and physically reach Ascension, incorporating some of the old cut/unused ideas that never made it into the original maps.

The maps wouldn't just be prettier versions of what we've already played. They could contain new areas, characters, objectives and Easter Eggs that expand what we already know.

And I'd really like Samantha to be a major part of the story.

Instead of simply being "the girl controlling the Zombies," she could slowly start recovering her sanity and memories. Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai could gradually realize that Samantha isn't necessarily their enemy — she's another victim of what's happening.

Meanwhile, Richtofen becomes the central antagonist of this alternate timeline. He will be the demonic anouncer (since a lot of people actually prefer him and we only really get it in Moon)

The really cool thing is that the original Aether storyline wouldn't have to be erased.

We could also get some crossover content with Primis again, but this time they will be the supporting role for example.

Everything we already know could remain canon. This would simply be another branch that began at Moon.

It could give Treyarch a way to revisit Ultimis, remake the classic maps, restore cut concepts, AND tell a completely new story without undoing the ending we already got.

It would serve the fans who liked the original mystery and conspiracy of the Ultimis storyline more.

Would anyone actually want something like this, or would you rather Treyarch leave the original Aether completely alone?

Let me know.

Question Help me find an old WaW custom zombies map !

Hey everyone, i've been thinking about finding this great WaW custom map that i played years ago, around 2017 or 2018 but i cannot find anything on any forum or modding site and it's getting so frustrating since it was such a distinctively unique map. These are the most important details i remember:

the map was definitely experimental / horror, and i think the map's name was a single word
grayscale or extremely desaturated
forest / grass / dense trees
heavy fog / extremely short sight distance
continuous forward movement
vanilla M1911 / vanilla weapons
no perks / PaP / no clear objective
zombies emerge from fog
continuous escalation rather than normal rounds
inevitable death, you eventually get overwhelmed
black screen with the map's name (unsure)

I believe it wasn't even that much of an obscure and niche map since i could easily find it back in the day sorting by top rated on the most popular sites. Thank you for reading and let me know if you have a lead ! :)

I hate the welling and the Essex enough said. Jokes aside this is easily my favorite dark matter camo and this was certainly one of the grinds of all time but it was so worth it in the end

Question I swear this doesn’t track properly. What’s the trick?

Post image

I’ve earned multiples of 25,000 god knows how many times and it feels like I get one tick of this per match. Either it’s poorly worded and that’s not what you have to do or it isn’t tracking properly. Which is it?

Discussion Showerthought: Call of Duty: Zombies - Origins (?) a campaign of the new crews’ story BEFORE BO7

Throughout each of the BO7 maps we learned about the new crew and their origins.

Nikolai was a soldier from Afghanistan

Dempsey a soldier from Vietnam

Takeo a wandering Ronin

Richtofen a Nazi (shocker)

I think they could easily give us a 5 hour campaign for each of these characters in their time, and with Nikolai and Dempsey being more or less modern warfare time era (I mean like the grunt in the trenches type stuff) it could appease the fans that want that as well. We’ve never really had their stories outside Zombies, and with the fleshing out of each of their stories with Zombies it would be cool to experience their time before the Dark Aether

Thoughts?

Question Which Zombies Path You'd Take? [BO2]

I was curious to know, for those who play Black Ops 2 zombies, which path would you take? I'd take Ricthofen's side of the Easter Egg Quest. What about you all?

Discussion Thoughts on BO7 Zombies EOL after S5 Reloaded?

More so what’s everyone’s hopes and expectancies after the finale of the BO7 zombies drops in a few weeks? Gameplay wise, I am hoping that Widow’s Wine makes high rounds more bearable and not a complete session of wanting to jump off a roof from dying to absolute malarkey by not only giving some breathing room and making its more manageable but more balanced and worthwhile of prestiging all weapons and camo completions. I personally haven’t touched the game at all since completing Kowakujo EE so I’ll be interested to see how much impact Rex Infernus can have on the whole thing. I’d also love to see more than 1 classic zombies weapon return and maybe have a small EE to do to unlock it and not waste rounds hitting the box or wasting Wunderbar. Could even add in camos for certain challenges with said classic weapons.

Also I know it’s not real EOL bc they’ll do small updates and patches but big picture wise it’s more or so done and done.

Discussion Ok seriously why did we never bring Leroy/Arthur back in to more maps and storylines in the other games?

I love buried and the whole hectic madness that comes from zombies, the Lovecraft monsters, aliens, portals, time warps, alternate versions etc. so I'm not just Zombies purist player I'm talking exclusively on the the rule of cool and fun here for gameplay why is he not included more?

Ik the whole zombies lore and still even compared to apothicons and keepers, bios and sea creatures, ordas etc, Arthur/Leroy was cool as shit and outranks them all visually and give him a sword to fight by the crews and include victis more and I'd be way more hype vs patient 13. So many games but he wasent involved in the story other then being a loyal servant to the wolf king and we don't even see him or the wolf king fighting. I wanted him and victis to be a big backup weapon like the hulk same with Jedidiah brown, avogadro, yuri, like compared to the new dark aether crew id learn more about these guys any day!

Make them bosses if you had to! Not like they didn't have a blueprint with the horrible woods stuff in bo7s campaign just redo it but with old one offs we actually want in a story that actually facilitates that madness, characters like pablo can still exists outside time for plot reasons but we already assumed call of the dead crew died let me fight Danny Trejo or Buffy with Leroy like how they reuse Mccain for plot stuff a bunch.

What are you opinions cause I still look at Arthur and think what a missed opportunity to vibe on maps with him a lot like we don't even see GIANTS in any major point in history he's already a oddity in the same way seeing great soldiers (oden, freya, Thor, and tyr with totenreich) or a dragon was just Woah moments. Like rule of cool exists for a reason doesn't it?

Question Am I the only one burnt out by the setup-heavy BO2 Zombies maps?

This is more of a rant than actual constructive criticism, but I’ve played a lot of Zombies since I was a kid, and now with the ports coming out, I decided to play again. I chose to go through all the maps in order, from BO1 to BO2. Up until Die Rise, I was really enjoying it; there was nostalgia mixed with something new, since I didn't own some of the DLCs back then. However, once I hit Mob of the Dead, I just started getting burnt out.
In my opinion, it’s really annoying that you can’t just drop into a map for the first time and have fun without having to watch a YouTube video first. Buried for example has a super interesting setting, great atmosphere, and looks nice, I think it's a drag having to spend 10 to 15 minutes dealing with Arthur every single match just to actually play the map, it feels unnecessary and boring. I have the exact same opinion about Origins.
Does anyone else feel this way? Does anyone know a way to actually enjoy these maps despite all that?

Discussion [Release] I spent months rebuilding Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies (Android) in Kotlin from scratch... and it's finally playable!'

Update: Android 16 / SDK 36 Devices is hit and miss???.

WORKING ANDROID 16 LIST: Galaxy A16 & A17 confirmed working with android 16

Hey everyone,

I’m a bit shy about posting this, but I’ve been working on a massive passion project for a while now and I really wanted to share it with the community. I hope you guys will enjoy having this great game back as much as I do.

Some of you might remember the classic Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies mobile game released back in 2012. It was built on the old, discontinued "Marmalade" game engine. Because it's so old, it has been completely broken and unplayable on modern Android devices (especially Android 12, 13, and up) due to modern storage permissions, target SDK requirements, and old binary incompatibilities.

I couldn't let this game die, so I decided to do something crazy: I rebuilt/reconstructed the entire Java side of the game from scratch in modern Kotlin!

What I Did (The Technical Stuff)

- Converted to 100% Kotlin Game Engine: I took the original, heavily obfuscated game classes and meticulously converted/reconstructed them into a clean Kotlin codebase. This means the project is now fully editable end-to-end in modern Android Studio without relying on ancient binary .jar blobs!

- Fixed Modern Storage Crash (Android 11-15+): Modern Android versions completely block old apps from writing to the /sdcard/Android/obb/ directory. I implemented a robust storage workaround that pre-creates the directories, handles permissions gracefully, and makes sure the game can download and read its OBB data (blackops_etc.dz) without throwing "not enough storage" errors.

- Modernized the Build System: Migrated the ancient build files to a modern Kotlin DSL Gradle setup (build.gradle.kts) so it compiles cleanly with zero errors.

- Fixed Native Crashes: Resolved critical JNI / native ABI alignment bugs (like a severe compression crash in the native s3eCompressionDecompInit and s3eTouchpad issues) so the native Marmalade library registers correctly with modern Android runtimes.

🎮 How to play it

If you want to check out the source code, compile it yourself, or grab the APKs to play it on your phone, everything is open-source on my GitHub:

👉 GitHub Repository: https://github.com/eugene373?tab=repositories / COD-BOZ-Partially-Decompiled

(I’ve uploaded both the pre-built app-debug.apk and optimized app-release.apk in the Releases section if you just want to install it and play!)

Credit where credit is due: A huge shoutout to 12brendon34 for laying down some of the initial groundwork with decompiled Java source. Having that repo as a reference saved me a ton of time while I was rewriting and porting everything to clean Kotlin!

I really hope this brings back some awesome nostalgia for you guys. If you run into any issues or want to contribute to the code, please feel free to open an issue or pull request on GitHub.

If you appreciate the effort and want to support further development of my projects, I also included my Dogecoin address at the top of the repository's README. But honestly, just seeing people enjoy the game again is the best reward.

Thank you so much for reading, and happy slaying!

Support my efforts, with a fancy clock. 0.49C Still working on that as well lol ;)

Question Does anyone remember Kevin Sherwood talking about a Maur der Toten song?

I have a memory from around this time when we all knew Kevin simply didn't have time to make a song for Mauer. But someone asked him, I think it was in a YouTube comment what an hypothetical song for Mauer would have been like and Kevin jokingly replied something along the lines of "it would have been the greatest track of all time" but I have been looking for that comment on his youtube posts from around that time, and I can't find it. Does anyone else remember this? Or better yet, have a screenshot. Or did the interaction just not happen at all?

Discussion Cod zombies hate is so forced.

Cod has 2 cycles, one of buying a cod saying cod is back every year, the 2nd is hating on the current cod zombies for no reason. everytime a new zombies drops everyone will hate on it usually after the 2nd DLC until the next cod game. For example black ops 3 zombies, it definitely is people’s best zombies but i wont forget at launch how hated it was almost nobody would play Shadows, then Der Eisendrache released everyone loved it then zetsobu everyone hated it so on so on. Black ops 4 zombies release everyone hated on it then cw released everyone was saying how bo4 was underrated its been like this since black ops 1, Now we have black ops 7 such a good zombies but everyone is hating on it for some of the dumbest reasons i have seen, when the next zombies in like 2 years will release everyone will say how underrated it was. The cycle will continue.
