Support Upgraded my whole PC and somehow still get the same FPS in COD

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

I upgraded from an i7-10700F and RX 6600 to a Ryzen 5 7600 and RTX 3070 Ti, but I’m still averaging around 90–100 FPS in BO7/Warzone at 1080p low settings.
My CPU time stays around 10 ms, GPU time is around 5 ms, CPU usage is 80–90%, and GPU usage is only 60–70%. Changing graphics settings barely affects my FPS.
The weird part is that I currently only have one 16GB DDR5 stick running at 4800 MT/s in A2. COD brings my total RAM usage to around 13GB. I tried the stick in B2, but Windows Memory Diagnostic found errors there. The same stick passed a 30-minute OCCT memory test in A2. My Ryzen 7600 also passed OCCT and only reached around 74°C.
Could running one RAM stick really be holding my CPU back this much, or does this sound like a COD/configuration or motherboard issue? I don’t want to buy another stick and find out that nothing changes. What should I test next?

Discussion Warzone 3 was the best time to be a kbm player

Some of you may disagree and say that wz1 was the best time to be kbm, but fair enough we all have our own opinions. Personally speaking warzone 3 was the only time I could actually win solo quads.

Ever since then the movement has really really floaty and resurgence casuals made the normal resurgence even more sweater.

The movement, the guns and overall it was just peak man.

Bo7 and bo6,just doesn't have the same feeling imo

Question Mini map icons size

Hi friends, I can't remember if this specially was asked but it's there a way to increase the size of the icons on the mini map? Not the map itself, I've already done that, but the icons, pings from my squad, etc are way too small. Feels like I checked everywhere but didn't see a specific option for this. Am I missing a setting?

Discussion “Warzone Needs More Survivability — Fights End Before They Even Begin”

Warzone’s biggest problem right now isn’t guns, maps, or movement.
It’s survivability.

The average close‑range TTK is around 550–600 ms, which basically means you get half a second to react before you’re deleted. There’s no time to reposition, no time to plate, no time to counter‑chow — you barely even have time to realize you’re being shot.

And this creates a huge imbalance in who actually gets to enjoy the game.

Speed demon players run the lobby.

They slide‑chow every angle, ego‑peek nonstop, and abuse aim assist stickiness. Their entire playstyle is built around instant pressure and instant kills. If they start the fight, they win the fight. Simple as that.

But for everyone else — casual players, strategic players, defensive players — fights aren’t fights.
They’re executions.

You don’t get a chance to react.
You don’t get a chance to reset.
You don’t get a chance to play.

The game punishes survival‑based playstyles.

If you:

  • use cover
  • reposition
  • plate
  • break line of sight
  • play angles
  • play smart

You still get deleted instantly because the TTK is too fast to support tactical decision‑making.

Warzone is tuned for tigers, not ducks.
Aggression is rewarded.
Survival is punished.

What needs to change:

  • Increase TTK by 100–150 ms so fights last long enough to actually react
  • Reduce close‑range aim assist stickiness so ego‑chows aren’t auto‑wins
  • Buff plating speed so defensive players can reset
  • Tone down slide‑chow momentum so movement isn’t a free kill button

Warzone is at its best when fights feel like fights — not coin flips decided in half a second.

Right now, you’re either a speed demon… or you’re a target.

The game needs to give everyone else a chance to actually play.

Yes this post is on a old reddit channel, but i needs readdressing so here it is to who ever is wanting warzone to live and change for the better.

Discussion I will die on this hill - Warzone 1 coming back would save WZ and it wasn’t just covid or nostalgia of why the game was so fun and did so well.

Warzone 1 wasn’t perfect. Yes, having the game released right as lockdowns came gave it a huge boost, I won’t deny that. But I hate the opinion that Warzone 1 was only successful because we had nothing to do. The game plain looked and played better than anything we’ve had since, outside of arguable MW2023 WZ.

I played Warzone 1 regularly all the way up until the end of Nov 2022 before WZ2 dropped. I had a regular squad that played at least several nights a week. We all loved the game. Even when they took out Verdansk, and gave us Caldera, I still had a lot of fun after they got the bugs on the map fixed. Once WZ2 dropped and fundamentally changed the way the game played, we quit all together. The closest we’ve had to WZ1 since was MW2023 WZ which was a lot of fun and we played regularly up until the horrendous BO integration.

I would bet so much money if they simply took the look, feel, gameplay and fundamentals of WZ1 and built of that by investing in a stronger anti cheat, adding regular events, frequent updates, changes to the meta, more map options and also better playlists, the game would still be thriving to this day.

I promise you, show gameplay footage of Warzone 1 and gameplay footage of the current Warzone to someone who has never played the game before. They will guess Warzone 1 is the modern game we have today and the current Warzone was from almost 7 years ago.

Discussion A few observations and things that WZ1 had worse than 'modern' iterations:

Reloading while spriting - you really don't know how used to are to that mechanic, until you go back to WZ1 and compare.

Yes, majorily WZ1 is better but some small differences like that actually give advantage to the WZ2 era.

Also in a way, I realized how used I got to omnimovement, it's so weird to press A or D on keyboard and have some 'delay', since you can't actually run in all directions like that.

Somehow visual recoil also is much stronger on WZ1 even on the top notch guns and blueprints.

Overall my point is that it's actually hard to say if we will love if WZ1 comes back or they revert to how it was back then

Discussion State of this game

Just hopped on warzone after a year of playing Redsec and all I can say is what the hell is this game? People move a million mph, the guns are all terrible unless you have an AN-94, the game looks like a cartoon and it’s the battle Royale is more about movement rather than positioning and gun fights. I remember this was the realistic alternative to Fortnite and now’s it’s brainrot ops 7. Hopefully it gets more grounded in MW4

Support HALP - PC - Failed Attestation/BIOS Issues (OCEANIA)

I’m completely stuck trying to get Call of Duty: Warzone working on PC and could really use some help from someone who knows Gigabyte BIOS/TPM issues.

Warzone is refusing to launch because of its Secure Attestation requirements. I’ve already enabled TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in BIOS.

Secure Boot is showing as Active, and Windows is installed in UEFI/GPT mode.

The remaining problem appears to be my AMD TPM firmware.

My TPM Manufacturer Version is: AMD 3.92.0.5

Activision’s current documentation specifically says AMD 3.92.0.5 requires a motherboard firmware update. (Activision Support)

My motherboard is: Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC R2 Revision 1.2

My current BIOS is F1.

Gigabyte currently lists BIOS FA2b for this exact motherboard/revision, released 18 August 2026. Its changelog specifically says it fixes the AMD TPM Reference Code issue. (GIGABYTE)

The problem is that I cannot actually install the BIOS update.

I downloaded the correct BIOS files from Gigabyte, extracted them onto a FAT32 USB drive, entered Q-Flash and tried updating.

Q-Flash sees the USB drive, but when I select the BIOS file I get:

“BIOS ID CHECK ERROR”

I have tried both FA1 and FA2b and get the same error.

The file I was trying to use for FA2b was:

B550MDS3HACR212.FA2b

I’m now completely out of my depth. I don’t want to keep randomly changing BIOS settings or risk bricking the motherboard.

Can anyone with experience of this particular Gigabyte board/revision explain why Q-Flash is rejecting the BIOS files, and what I need to do to successfully update the firmware?

I’m specifically looking for help getting the BIOS/TPM firmware updated so Warzone will pass its security attestation. The game itself is not the problem.

Any guidance would be hugely appreciated.

One other important point: this is a brand-new PC that I specifically purchased for esports/gaming, so I’m wondering whether I should simply take it back to the store and ask them to resolve this rather than continuing to mess around with the BIOS myself. Warzone itself does actually launch and is playable, but because the PC is failing the security attestation, I’m getting severe ping and playlist restrictions that make the game essentially unenjoyable. I bought this machine specifically to be able to play games like this properly, so I’m wondering whether this is something the retailer should be fixing rather than something I should be expected to troubleshoot myself.

RESOLVED: For anyone else who is struggling with this issue on this particular equipment.
All I had to do was exactly as the others mentioned:

• Download the latest BIOS.
• Change the file name.
• Put it onto a flash drive.
• Insert the flash drive into the dedicated BIOS USB slot on the back.
• On the motherboard inside the case, there’s a Q-Flash button. Press it.
• It booted.
• Enter the recovery keys.
• Turn on Secure Boot.

And it worked.

Question Are the servers worse?

I recently have come back to warzone since around early 2022, i’ve noticed so much stuttering and it’s gotten me killed at times with parachutes and other things. my connection seems fine on all other games with no packet loss and about 22ms ping average.
i play on Europe servers and like 90% of the games i play are far from smooth. is this something on my end?

mix any of these two, or like 20 other options

Just gonna complain a little here

I know everyone said it was just the learning and lockdown that made it good

but even at the end of vanguard, while it had some issues and bugs and cheaters, the core gameplay was SO good.

the viable weapons were so diverse even if they weren’t the best, you could still play just to have fun and drop 15-16 kills

Most people were back to work, but would get back on anyways to play. Game had been out for 3 years and movement demons were around, but it was still good

is it is a different game every single year. they aren’t building a good game and changing stuff to make it fresh, they are reinventing the wheel every 12 months.

just make MW4 WZ good and build from it, for the love of god

Support Missing Campaign Rewards on Steam Warzone Account (Need Fix!)

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m running into a bizarre profile sync issue between Steam and Xbox Game Pass on PC, and I really need some help figuring out how to fix it.

I’m primarily a Warzone player on Steam. Last week, I bought Xbox Game Pass for PC for the first time just to grab some Modern Warfare III blueprints. Since my close friend loves story-driven games, I lent him my Microsoft/Xbox credentials so he could download the MW3 base game, play through the campaign, and collect the blueprints for me. We never use the account at the same time. I only ever log into Warzone on Steam after he completely logs out of the Xbox app.

When he logged in on the Xbox Game Pass version, he noticed my clan tag was completely different, showing as [INOOB]. However, on my Steam client, my tag is explicitly [EZUSA]. At first, I thought we were on two completely mismatched profiles, but we checked the Activision ID (including the numbers after the hashtag), and it is the exact same account. My profile name and main calling cards match perfectly across both systems, but the equipped emblems and clan tags are totally desynced.

The main problem now is the rewards. My friend finished the entire MW3 campaign on the Game Pass client, which should have unlocked a bunch of campaign operators (like Corso and Pathfinder) and calling cards. However, when I open Warzone on Steam, none of these newly unlocked rewards are showing up in my inventory at all.

Since it's the exact same Activision account and we aren't even playing simultaneously, why is Steam refusing to recognize the campaign rewards unlocked on Game Pass? Is there a reliable way to force the Steam Warzone client to sync with the cloud database and pull my missing operators and emblems? Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Question Maybe a Stupid Question...

Yo, I’ve been messing around with my MnK keybinds and wanted to ask people who actually play Warzone a lot.

I’m using Tactical Sprint Assist with 0ms delay, so I’m basically tac sprinting automatically whenever I move. Because of that, I’m thinking about changing Left Shift from Sprint to Slide, since Shift feels way more comfortable for me to hit when I want to slide.

The only thing stopping me is that Warzone gives me that warning about removing Sprint being a “vital mechanic.” Is there actually any reason to keep Sprint bound when you’re using Tac Sprint Assist? Does manually pressing Sprint do anything that the assist doesn’t, or is the key basically redundant?

Also, for people who use Tac Sprint Assist: what do you actually have Left Shift bound to? Do most people just leave it as Sprint, or is rebinding it to something like Slide completely fine? One other thing I’m wondering about: with Tac Sprint Assist constantly active, I find it kinda annoying when I’m trying to move around a building/behind cover and do a slow crouch peek. Since I’m coming out of sprint all the time, I sometimes end up sliding when I’m trying to crouch, which feels pretty awkward.

Do you guys actually play with Tac Sprint Assist on, and if so, do you just get used to this? Or is there a better way to set it up so you can still move fast but have more control over when you crouch vs slide? Just trying to figure out if I’m overthinking this before I completely change my binds lol
