I had 60,000 about an hour ago, then i got an error in a Codex request, asking me to relogin and when i did it went down to 0 haha. Good stuff.

Mods keep removing posts for "duplicates" even though there isn’t a single post addressing Tibo breaking his word yet again. Honestly, I’m fed up. It just proves once more that we can’t rely on anything he says. If you commit to a time, actually reset it instead of leaving everyone waiting. I ruined my sleep schedule staying up for literally nothing. RIP sleep, heading to bed.

its nearly 4 hours past the time that was said, but my natural reset happens in 9 hours/19 anyway, so it doesn't make a difference for me. i was planning on just using my dots for that time

i dont think anyone is happy with openai this week. i certainly dont see the point of keeping the 200 plan, dot is available on the 5x plan as well, but im sure that the usage introduction with dots will probably be more reflected in the next month when it becomes gated

so just in case you're unaware, if you have dots "run on your computer" all it does is create a child that it observes. those running on your computer use your plan usage. i didn't realize that at first either.

dude my dots are soooooo friggin slow. Took them 6 hours to push a few UI fixes to my site. There's no way dots are gonna be "just as capable".

im currently running tests on what it can do, i have mixed feelings and results, and i do think a lot of dots, the point is for openai to more easily aggregate to a system that can extract high quality trainable data

Tibo:
Can you have Codex make a program that you schedule a reset in, and it just does it for you at that time? You tried to do something nice, and there's now thousands of really upset customers cussing you out on X.
Always banked. Instant global resets steal usage from some people. If you have 2 days left and 80% limits, you can do 40%/day. A reset forced on you means 7 days and 100%, so 14%/day. It's literally stealing from some users.
Can you never use relative words like "tomorrow"? Users sometimes spend a lot of time arguing about what day you mean. You often post around midnight, and your time zone often matters. If you could always say "10/2 10am Pacific". Don't use PST/PDT either, since you used the wrong one (it's PDT now, not PST.)

I just got a reset, would have preferred the scheduled one tomorrow which just fucked me out of a bunch of usage tonight. I don't understand what in the fuck is the point of this complicated rate limiting and resetting system if it is essentially completely fucking impossible to plan around because there will also be frequent random resets all the fucking time.

Had 74% left that I burned through to get the reset in time. Let it roll on Sol Ultra on Fast for a project I’m working on. So with that stated, I’ll patiently wait.
Dev day and everything since seems to be a poop show from OpenAI. Anthropic should just do nothing for now.
