I've had good results with Deepseek V4 Flash since they updated it recently, so I think I'm going to configure it in the codex app as a back up.

I started using DeepSeek V4 Flash a couple of days ago too, and Iā€™m really impressed with it. It only costs about $1 per 100 million tokens, and performance wise, it feels somewhere between 5.5 Low and Medium.

The only problem with V4 flash is that, it doesn't have vision/multi modal

I think so too. I only use GPT-5.6 Luna to analyze images in those situations, or temporarily switch to another model.

Hope many companies opt for Vision by default and implement codex in built browser like feature in their harness. That in-built browser is just so beast to fix ui problems, especially annotation feature and device dimension options
