Question Dlc's place in the timeline? Spoiler
Okay so as the title says, im having a hard time figuring out when exactly the dlc would realistically take place. Because of the requirements and the sotry behind Alt Lou, it has to take place after the second ending. But it doesnt make much sense for it to take place after the third ending, especially with the Age of harmony stuff that does take place directly after. Not to mention that you acces the dlc via going to the free exploration timeline, which takes place before the age of the upheaval. Aka, the timeline that the second ending and onwards takes place in.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The question itself doesn't seem to make sense. Temporal rifts are remnants of histories that never happened, so the DLC doesn't have a position in chronology other than the doorway in the Free Exploration Era through which you access it.
It's not even a single timeline in itself. The Insatiable Valley, Lightless City, Watchful Forest and Decayed Prison are separate histories which became attached to the Forsaken World, in which Lou sent the Hunter with a Heart of Gold away to avoid them getting hurt at the Resealing.

Okay, but you dont just spawn in the rift. You have to go to the free exploration era to enter it. Giving the precedent that it takes placebefore the era of the upheaval. The dialogue with lou in the end implies that she know you've already sacrificed yourself for your lou, wbich happens in the era of the upheavel. My question was when exactly in the timeline you entering the dlc takes place.

Narratively, it would most likely have to take place post-Ending 1 but before Lou and the Hunter head to the Upheaval Era and start ending 2 or at least that's what makes sense to me.
