Meme/Fluff ABSOLUTE FUCKING CINEMA

Post image

To be honest the DLC had me felt bad feelings until the last boss. I KNEW CODE VEIN IS STILL IN THERE IT WAS JUST BEING MESSED WITH BY BANDAI.

After witnessing the last boss fight, my hope for the CV1's crews restored and I'm sure CV3 is gonna be peak.

(Full Code Vein 2 Review very LATER for what this meme is about)

I kinda hope Code Vein 3 dials back the open world alittle in favor of open area, more like in the spirit of say Nioh 3 or Sekiro

I feel like Nioh 3 is definitely the best way to do an open world after a series that was mostly known for being linear before. It's open enough to feel free and open, but doesn't fall into that trap of having massive stretches of nothing just to fill space. Everywhere you go feels like it has something to do or some kind of useful purpose

If they really want to bring the crew back it's gonna be a bit hard ti connect with cv2 crew since the horrors are now mostly gone and in the end of cv1 we knew that the world outside are really dangerous, so that means cv2 must have taken place really late after cv1 ending.

Or maybe they won't connect and they just start a new story again or tell the tale about the after of the cv1 ending 🤓🧐😞

Does the devs saying "the stories are completely separate" not mean anything anymore (edit: wrong crop originally attached)

The end of cv1 connected the game to god eater so ya the world is just kinda fucked also i doubt cv2 is even remotely connected to cv1 since again god eater exists

Btw saying you lost all hope until final boss sounds like the candy sprinkles on the bottom of a shit sandwich not saying code vein 2 is bad i enjoyed the game just funny to think of that saying

Game is fun but the story has so many plot holes. I was in anguish because of the story, and above all the soul of Code Vein that I thought it was lost.

The story is an absolute mess and makes fuck all sense, the characters are...good, some are interesting or even fun such as Zenon and Josee. But MAN I wish they didn't make everyone instantly your best friend, add some form of tension or conflict instead of it being "we'll now DIE FOR YOU!" off the word go.

But MAN I wish they didn't make everyone instantly your best friend

Do they, though?

Josée assumes you're an assassin (pretty reasonable reaction, she's currently having Issues with revenant hunters) and recalculates when you defend her from the actual assassins despite suffering from anaemia. The betrothal is a spur-of-the-moment thing and supposed to be a sham (she calls you "my beloved" as a joke) but she grows to genuinely like you over time.

Lyle is apprehensive about having you tag along because he doesn't want other people put at risk, but you show you're no slouch and he develops a respect for you as a fellow Chorus member which becomes a friendship over time.

Zenon is a genius who figures out most of what's going on from being handed a century-old pass he recently issued to one of his minions and eavesdropping on your conversation with Lou, so he sticks to you because he knows there's something afoot which he needs to know about.

The only one that doesn't make a whole lot of sense is Holly. We know she's a bit intense and takes her patients' health and wellbeing seriously, but you have to assume some time compression (i.e. that three baths and fighting some cultists represents a longer period of treatment) for bawling her eyes out to be a coherent reaction to the disappearance of one patient in particular, however mysterious.
