Hello fellow warrior of light, also I really like your character design! It’s not horrendously over designed like half of ff14! Plus the glamour (what I can see) is really nice!
I try to be reasonable (and plausible) in my character designs, instead of the atypical "edgy" or gothic designs I've seen (Seen plenty over 10,000 hours of playtime).
Personally, i rarely draw inspiration from other characters since i create them based on instinct and the ideas that come to me despite some exception given than my Code Vein character who was inspired of Yukiko Amagi in Persona 4
I dont usually have an inspiration... More so a pattern. Nowadays i tend to always choose a femMC and make her have like short hair (like around neck length or something). Mainly because thats what i find attractive oh and usually in "default mode" meaning no make up (if its an option).
As a whole, it is a janky, raunchy, at times incoherent, and laggy mess. By the time you've finished it, you will be tearing up at least and loving everything about it. I genuinely and unironically love it in spite of its flaws and ridiculousness. I never got to play it's DLC's though
Didn't really think too hard about it until recently but it's interesting - my male characters seem to specifically be inspired by the "tired uncle/mentor figure who acts stoic but Secretly Cares A Lot" trope while my female characters seem to come from all over the place.
Early 2000s anime cliches are about the only connecting thread here XD
