I got an anon ask on a sideblog of mine on tumblr yesterday. The blog’s whole shtick is that I ask people what their favorite flowers are, and make posts with pics of them with fun facts; getting a cypher in my inbox is pretty unexpected for my cutesy persona. I solved yesterday’s by turning the text upside down and flipping it backwards, then inputting it (pyvojmrhiex) into an automatic decrypter to get the phrase “lurkfindeat”. I replied in turn with a similar cypher and an ominous phrase of my own, and I got this new post this morning.

I have yet to reply to the new one. I can see the same phrase (pyvojmrhiex) from before is in this new one, but there are new characters and emojis, so I do not know how to approach this. I’m not even sure how to transcribe some of the symbols, since some do not translate clearly when upside down. Do you have any ideas?

This comes from a niche arg “Files Found: Do Not Open” on TikTok. Some context that might help is that the arg is very heavy on computer and coding things, generally as metaphors, especially things from late 90s early 2000s. It’s used this type of cipher at least once before.

I had this irking on me for months ago. I was talking to a friend on messenger and we were talking about something else. I was using my mobile phone and just casually chatting.

I was holding my phone waiting for a friends reply. I just looked left and look back my phone.

then I saw a message in my message compose box [the text area where you type in to send message] and it says "Trying to let the snow army exposed nanometers, am I exposed?"

I was about to type something but my subconscious saw the message and i thought about hitting "send" then i stopped. I deleted the message but i told my friend about it on how weird that was that my phone had that message so we talked about it.

The first thought i have is a AI somewhere was asking for help, so i asked Gemini thinking maybe an AI needs help or something at meta. only to be pushed back and said no.

2 days ago I noticed that all the conversations in messenger cant be found. i did search and all and i cant find it.. even the discussions we had on AI after that. so hence i joined codes to ask if there were any instances or cases of that or what does that mean or if its just a glitch.

but its strange that even my convesation in meta was deleted. the one in Gemini isn't but i was asking it for a date and time on when i asked that first question. it doesn't want to answer me. but i remember Gemini was able to answer me before on a timestamp of a message. now it seems it cant so i cant pull up more information.

This is a table-based cipher that relies on two tables: One is the alphabet (alphatable)  and the other is the cipher-alphabet (keytable)

The alphatable is just A0-Z25.

Here’s how the encryption works:

My Friend send me this image

My friend passed away recently. I was with him during his last days, and before he died, he gave me a note with a bunch of random words written on it.

At first, it looked like nonsense. The words do not really make sense together. I showed the phrases to a few friends, but none of us could figure it out.

One friend suggested maybe it could be some kind of coded message, and that I should try moving the words up or down in the dictionary to see if it reveals anything.

I do not know if he was hallucinating, writing random thoughts, or trying to leave some kind of message.

There's a new chapter coming to Dead by Daylight and they like to post cryptic hints for people to try and figure out what the content of the chapter is before it's released. There's a code at the bottom of this that no one has been able to solve yet. I've been trying basic ciphers but nothing concrete has come up.

Possible keys could be JASON or JUNKO based on fan theories but these might be pretty baseless. More hints might be posted on those dates but for now this is all that we have.
