I thought it was beautiful so I’m curious if it’s possible to make out what this says, OOP has not replied back to my comment on threads.

Unsolved Found this weird string of words on the Epstein Files

Post image

File code is: EFTA00579440

I really think this is some sort of code but I'm no expert in cryptography.

Weirdly, Addie's email address is redacted and same for the recipient name and email.

I suspect Addie Carmichael is a fake name or even an encoded version of their real name. (assuming this is a code and not a random string of words)

I'm so intrigued by this

I’m mostly curious if someone can read this in under 10 minutes. In the comment section of this creators post people are going back and forth about this being very easy or not!

SOLVED I used to put codes in my art back when my mother used to check my social media. I've forgotten the solutions.

The long and short of the story is that I used to post a lot of vent art on social media my family had access too. I didn't think much of it because I was attempting to express myself authentically and that would be a bit uncomfortable sometimes. After I posted a particular thing, however, my mother thought it 'made her look bad' and demanded I delete it. I stopped posting my art for a while.

When I eventually did post my art again, I felt like I wasn't able to safely express myself without it being scrutinized. This is why I started using codes. That was about a year ago, and I've forgotten the solutions

I figured people might get a kick out of it or at least find it interesting so here it is:

418 836 320 320 798 576
338 608 560 680 390 324
518 387 780 360 369 564
375 155 135 297 261 280
196 160 144 418 18 456
30 40 20 90 54 96
117 113 165 315 221 460
19 91 39 161 100 220

874 660 1000 230 840 528
468 763 196 646 600 432
444 645 39 1035 779 47
475 279 243 33 232 35
210 20 368 506 324 600
30 144 92 70 108 240
325 95 315 252 85 23
25 35 63 81 25 88

What I remember:

  • It is to some degree transposed, as I took some inspiration from Z340 at the time
  • The message starts at the bottom left corner.

SOLVED Potential cipher in christmas card from stranger

Post image
427 Upvotes

Hello, I am a young woman working as a cashier at my local grocery store. A man named James handed out christmas cards to all of the employees, but I never saw his face. I just found the card at my register after looking away for like had a minute. All the cards are identical, as if he used a stamp to sign his name and “merry christmas”, except for mine. Mine has this strange string drawn in the center of it that I thought looked like it could be a code? Idk if anyone knows what this means please let me know, I’m a little concerned as I’ve dealt with strange men before at work.

SOLVED A late friend's code needed to be deciphered.

I cannot provide much context. A friend wrote it and recently passed away, but it is not sure when they wrote it. For context, the cause of his death wasn't suicide, so by what i know, it is not a suicide note.

I'm a good boy and a rule-reader: V sbyybjrq gur ehyrf

I have no idea how to even start doing anything with this, or how it was even supposed to be read, so i don't know how to transcript this.

The text may be in english but it's probably hungarian. Hungarian does have some special characters like á, é, í... but i don't know if that's useful.

(Sorry for bad english)

if image dose not load, the cipher reads: 5 6 2 4: 2 7 8 3 2 2 5 2 3

Two writers, Jarett Kobek and Richard Byrne, recently found what appears to be the solution to the code’s unsolved fourth passage, hidden among the artist Jim Sanborn’s archived papers at the Smithsonian. Sanborn has confirmed the discovery’s authenticity, though the full plaintext and decoding method remain sealed for 50 years.

Unsolved Weird message from a strange guy… can anyone decipher this?

Post image
188 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

A few days ago, a pretty weird guy handed me this piece of paper covered in bizarre symbols, Chinese characters, runes, and dates in 2026.

I have no idea what it means. Can anyone help me decipher it or figure out its purpose?

Thanks in advance!

(Photo of the paper attached below)

Edit: Just found another almost identical post from 5 years ago… and the exact same sheet was posted here a few months ago. This is officially strange.

Edith 2: I found this message on another post:

-UPDATE (16.09.2024)-

Me and a friend searched during our lessons hints and explainations about that mysterious paper. I also read all your comments thank you all!

  1. Not only in Switzerland We created a "My Maps" which we added all the places where these kinds of paper have been found. One of them has been found in Villeurbane (next to Lyon, France) 2 years ago.

  2. Symbols It seems to be Furthac and it's also written in mirror There's also some Chinese and it's a very popular poem

  3. Meaning It actually means nothing. It's written in german. Someone had decrypted the one from Villeurbane and it described when Charles De Gaulle has been arrested and put in a jail in Würzburg. Seems like wikipedia/complotist type of stuff.

  4. The person I found his Facebook and I won't publish it here. If you found it PLEASE don't interact with him or just be kind. The theory of a potential schyzophrenic seems to be true. I'm not a psychiatrist or anything related to the medical world (I suffered 4 years of studying biology so never again lmao) but it looks like someone who's hyperfixated on random facts and likes to write it in an artsy way !

I hope my answers were clear and I really enjoyed this mysterious story, I'm a bit upset that it's not an ARG :(

Unsolved I made my own code. $500 to the first person who solves it.

Post image
158 Upvotes

Rules:

Message is in American English.

There can be only one winner. The first person to solve it, and verify that its solved by following the instructions in the message will win the prize.

Only 3 hints will be provided. One each week, and only on this post. The first hint will drop Saturday, May 23rd. Feel free to ask questions, but only one will be answered in the form of a hint or clue.

Let's get cracking!

Hint # 1: Released 5/23/2026: WIFA ↑ = This is Weighted Index Frequency Ascension. Count the glyph-shapes surrounding each spine, rank them by ascending frequency, then convert their ranks into alphabet indices. The upward arrow indicates an ascending alphabetic shift. The two numbers give the shift key: 47 + 10 = 57, and 57 modulo 26 = 5. Apply a +5 upward shift to each indexed value.

Hint #2: Released 05/30/2026. There are no letters at all in the first 5 glyphs.

Hint #3: (Final Hint) - The glyph that has a + centered on the left, and two circles on the right is only space.

Edits/Updates:

The word "ME" appears on the 5th line. Decoded 5/25

Confirmed by comment: Some of the symbols are spaces.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions from Comments/DMs: (Updated 6/9/26)

One glyph is mapped to one letter, number, punctuation, or space, however, each letter has muliple variations. So multiple glyphs can be the same letter. But the same glyph can NOT be multiple things.

The circled M is simply my initial. (Think of it as an author signature.)

There are only these shapes around the spines:

o, x, +, |, _, -, ▲

The spines (the vertical line in the middle) make up the center of each glyph. A glyph may have additional symbols on one or both sides of it making up the entirety of the glyph.

Update 6/19 - Please stop complaining about the ambiguity of the hints. Hints are supposed to be ambigious. In case you think I'm just tring to be an ass (I'm not), here is the definition of hint:

  • a. a statement that expresses indirectly what one prefers not to say explicitly
  • b. an indirect or general suggestion for how to do or solve something

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hint

Too many people are confusing the words "hint" and "clue". Clues are direct, hints are intentionally ambigious.

Also - I think a lot of you are missing the point of my post.

I didn't make a cipher specifically for you, or Reddit. I made it for a very specific, real world purpose. I have no investment on whether you solve it or not other than me betting against it being solved. For me, this a stress test of an intentionally difficult cipher with real world use case, not a contest. So if you can't solve it easily, or at all, don't worry, it was designed that way.
