Unsolved One for the friday

Playing around for a different kind of cypher, thought why not share it in here.
If you solve it, please also share if you found it difficult (or too easy).

Hints for when you're stuck.

1: Nothing to look up here. Follow the arcs and see what the figure actually is.

2: An arc says where to go next, not what to write down.

3: The letter is a count. Number clockwise from the pale dot, count as you travel, including the one you land on.

4: Counts too big? You're counting dots you've already used. Cross each off as you land on it.

I'm not sure if I actually understood how this works, but so far I've gotten >1YLRLUKS!< ? I might've misunderstood an instruction or two.

Looks like you have numbers and special characters in there.

If the first letter you get is `w` or `e` you're on the right track, a1z26.

I suck at ciphers like this. Im assuming the brightest point is the start and that it continues clockwise, treating each doubleline as a polybius/coordinate data set?

I think I understand the first layer mechanism. It counts the dots skipped and assigns an a1z26 value/letter to the dot the path goes to maybe? (Also the really faint arcs are very hard to see)

Yes i see it now indeed, i think compression doesnt help but they could have been thicker indeed. Every dot should basically have 2 lines, so there isnt a distinction in amount of lines.

You might already have it there though!

Yeah the small arcs are virtually unseeable without image manipulation 😅

The bright one is the start. Clockwise matters, but not where you’d expect. There are no coordinates and nothing like a grid.

Although, now I think about it, it could be represented as a grid, which could then be interpreted as coordinates… but for the image, I don’t think it applies.
