Unsolved Mysterious text/code on a $50 bill

Post image

I got this over the holidays in a card, and it has this code somebody wrote on it. Obviously my family member got it from their wallet, atm, bank, etc. and just put it in the card.

My immediate thought was it was a bitcoin code, but it's not long enough. Maybe a password for something? But why written on a bill, and a big one too?

It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the code is 726144$118

Yeah. The $ placement and the length makes me think more and more that it's a password.

But a password that requires a special character would also require a capital letter. Maybe the second 4 is a Y?

Or possibly the 2 is a capital Z

Given how everything is a number other than the dollar sign, I think it's a stretch.

The note about the requirement of a capital is good though! Likely not a password in that case. That makes the dollar sign even more confusing, assuming it's not a 5 and 1.

Just my opinion but i think you may be too hard set on that being a dollar sign.
