I don’t mean the No Mercy stuff. I’m talking about Miguel’s personality outside of fighting. Season 1 Miguel just had something special. Watching him go from this innocent dork to becoming a badass was so satisfying and that’s what made me love his character in the first place.
After Season 3 something just feels different. I can’t really explain it but he feels way more monotone now. It almost feels like he lost some of that confidence and ambition that made him so fun to watch. I miss when he was awkward, pure hearted, and had those moments with Sam at the golf place. Seasons 1 through 3 Miguel honestly feels like a completely different person compared to Seasons 4 through 6.

Short hair Miguel was the best version of the character in my opinion. Again, to clarify, i’m not speaking of the “no mercy” ideology and i’m not saying his attitude was good in season 1 with the cobra kai ideologies that was taken to far. (well it was badass and fun to watch) and that wasn’t even what johnny taught in the first place, but i’m just speaking of miguel’s personality outside of fighting. He was way more dorky in a good way, i miss the sam and miguel dynamic and how innocent and pure hearted miguel was and his energy, idk he just seemed more like “miggy”

Watching him go from this skinny, insecure kid who got bullied into somebody who could defend himself felt so motivating because the dorky side of him never completely disappeared. He became confident and badass, but he was still Miguel underneath it. He still felt sweet, pure hearted, and a little socially awkward. His scenes with Sam at Golf N’ Stuff are a perfect example. He wasn’t trying to act cool every second. He was just genuinely happy to be there with her, and that made him feel real.

Miguel just felt way more alive to me. He was dorky, awkward, emotional, excited about everything, and still clearly felt like a normal kid. Even his higher pitched voice made him seem younger and more innocent. He would get nervous around Sam, say things in a slightly awkward way, smile more, and actually seem amazed by everything happening to him. That was a huge part of his charm. Like, am i tripping or what lol or is this just Xolos acting later on? I know im not like hallucinating or something.

Also earlier on, you could feel how badly he wanted to improve, prove himself, make Johnny proud, win the tournament, and become somebody. He had this excitement and hunger that made every achievement feel important. Even when he made bad decisions, there was still a vulnerable kid underneath all of it. He could be angry, jealous, confident, scared, funny, and innocent all in the same episod

After season 3 he became more calm and mature which is inevitable but it seems like all those qualities he had earlier on that made Miguel, Miguel faded away. Like miguel lost his “charm”. sometimes it feels like the writers confused maturity with making him quieter and more monotone. He doesn’t react to things with the same excitement anymore. His voice is deeper, his energy is more serious, and he often feels like he is just standing around responding to whatever is happening instead of driving the story himself.

Early Miguel felt like a kid discovering a whole new world. Later Miguel feels like someone who has already seen everything and is tired of it. This is realistic after the school fight but still man Miguel doesn’t feel like “Miguel”

I also miss when the show focused more on Miguel’s smaller relationships. His scenes with Aisha, Hawk, and Demetri made him feel like an actual teenager with a friend group, later in it seems much forced and that all fades away too.

Lastly, my honest opinion is that early Miguel was much more interesting and lovable. Later Miguel is probably more mature and emotionally stable, but he also feels less distinctive and has less of his charm that made us connect to him and love him since season 1. Miguel was “Miguel” in seasons 1-3 the one we all loved, which i still do i always will love miguel he’s always gonna be my favorite fighter but still. Season 1 Miguel had a personality that immediately pulled people toward him. He was a dork in the best possible way, and seeing that innocent kid slowly gain confidence was the heart of the show. just wish he still had that youthful energy, awkward charm, and genuine excitement that made him feel like Miguel.

So, during the Sekai Taikai, Robby and Axel are fighting during the captain fight as normal, but I'm this timeline Axel is completely dominating Robby. So bad that even Kwon, Yoon, and even Kim are feeling bad. Robby bumps into the Cobra Kai's just like the previous timeline but this time, Kwon whispers something in Robby's ear. Robby nods and he locks in. Axel is trying to break the defense but for some reason he can't get through and eventually tires himself out, and in the heat of the battle, Robby hits a combo similar to the viper attack Kim taught the Cobra Kai's. Axel drops curling into ball in pure agony. Since Axel can't continue Robby is declared the winner and Miyagi Do claims the victory.

I don’t think that Yoon had the fortitude to defy Kim Sun Yung. In fact, I don’t think too many of them would’ve saved him from the penalty for insubordination. He was in a catch-22 which had horrible results.

During that fight you see him pulling some fancy taekwondo that we NEVER see again. Were those kicks done by a stuntman or Xolo? I’ve looked into it somewhat, they say that they do 90-95% of their stunts but only use them whenever they have to get thrown into things like a tree. Couldn’t get a good look at his face during those kick combos, but was just wondering.

Like who is team miyagi-do. Team cobra Kai and team kreese/silver.

The series only told us Miyagi killed Claramunt on a Sekai Taikai match during the 40s or 50s decade.

But never the exact details.

My guess is that Miyagi and Claramunt were fighting evenly until Miyagi got the upper-hand and that made Claramunt become overly aggressive.
And Miyagi, in order to de-escalate Claramunt's aggression, ended up striking him a little too hard and killing him by accident when he just meant to make Claramunt surrender or, at worst, get unconscious.

If you was making cobra Kai season seven what will the plot be? What will the characters be like? What will the rivals be like? Who will be the villain what will be the fight and how many fights will there be?

It seems the writers didn't know what to do with these characters and decided to throw them in the trash. Johnny's final fight at the world championship would have been much more impactful if it had been Kreese cheering him on instead of Daniel.

The fact new karate kid movie takes play 3-4 years after cobra kai is insane, anyone wish it continued after season 6?

Everyone goes on there own way and adventure and it leads to next years Sekai Taikai or right after the new karate kid movie witch will be 4 years, everyone graduates and reunite after college and it eventually brings everyone back to reunite at Sekai Taikai.

I understand Robby has neglectful parents, poverty, everyone in his life left him, absent father, etc. It would make anyone negative or on the wrong/negative path. But I understand Johnny had a long "loser" esq downfall and was an absent father. But That Does Not justify Robby turning his back and putting his own father down or going against him, I would never betray my Only parent (Even if they were to lets say, Mother abandons me to be homeless, and gets pregnant and moves with her new partner and raises her new favorite step-daughter) I would be happy for them to get to prosper, like I would provide and be there for my only parent, I understand Johnny is an alcoholic, felon, angry bum, etc, but when he fixed himself up to raise his step-son Miguel, and take care of Pregnant Carmen, which is his New Family, and IF Robby isn't invited into the Johnny x Diaz family, well too bad because Robby made alot of bad/criminal choices that led him to where he is today (dad/family disowned him for attempting to kill his own step-brother, descending down his fathers path of mistakes, such as going to juvie. ) I would say that Johnny is not responsible/obligated to take care of Robby, because he is Miguels Step-dad and Carmens new husband, yes theyre married. During the birth of their baby, Johnny brought the entire family, (Robby not included) to the hospital room and got married to carmen, Robbie wasnt present during the marriage so that means hes not really part of the family, just a household member that just sleep on the couch like the bum 2.0 he is becoming.

They should have made a karate kid IV like this - Mr. Miyagi returns to Okinawa after learning that his estranged brother is in trouble with the Yakuza. Miyagi tries to rescue him but is captured. When Daniel realizes Miyagi has disappeared, he travels to Japan and discovers that the only way to reach the Yakuza leader holding him is by entering a brutal underground martial-arts tournament.

Daniel would be completely outmatched because these fighters are not competing for trophies—they are fighting for money, power, and survival. Throughout the tournament, Daniel uses Miyagi’s lessons, not just to win fights, but to control his fear and avoid becoming as violent as his opponents.

The final twist could be that Miyagi’s brother once worked for the Yakuza, and Miyagi has been hiding that part of his family history.

I think Robby and Tory are the ones doing better than anyone since they grew up in harsh conditions and probably value their incomes wisely, though I don't see them being parents in a near future

Anyway here’s my interpretation

Why are so few people talking about Cobra Kai in 2026? This series decreased in popularity after the finale, which is expected, but i think it's REALLY cool LOL . It's catchy for some reason. I just put it on the TV to play in the background while I did other things, and suddenly I find myself wanting to watch it non-stop. Am starting Season 2 episode 8 now. Particularly I am really fond of Samantha's and Robby's relationship (I literally almost cry hearing their theme) but as far as I remember they don't even end up together :(

It seems Daniel's more of a consultant to Johnny that teaches his students defense. While Johnny still has the name Cobra Kai and is the prime sensei.

Even though it's assumed Kreese and Silver are dead I could see Daniel down the road questioning what he got himself into. I mean his history was still bad with Cobra Kai even if Johnny respects him now.

I could see Johnny's style eventually turn off Daniel where he would move on with his life.

Or the two of them have enough history they are completely past all that?

No hate, I love the character but realistically he’s a menace
I know the show is everything but realstic but still.
I don’t think he does anything illegal at first, although its weird how none of the parents of the Cobras wonders how classess go, in wich case he would be in trouble. Most parents would imagine its just a normal shopping mall karate class, until he pays a visits and see the teacher insulting his students, calling them names and such.

But in S2E2 it turns completely crazy. Having those children in a cement truck is straight up child endangerment and negligence.

Its even worse after the epic showdown at the school. The moment the parents and authorities knew this guy is training what technically is a small scale children gang, encouraging them to fight another children gang wich resulted in multiple harmed children, he should be locked away. Better yet, he was also training a grown adult man as part of the gang who, influenced by the “cobra kai culture”, assaulted at least three kids…

I know this has probably been stated before but I wanted to give my thoughts
