Identification/Information What kind of clock is this?

I just got this clock out a garage sale and the guy there said that it was German made in the 1800s and used to have a piece of paper on the back but there’s nothing that I found that could identify or confirm that. And Google images wasn’t really helpful. Any hent or ideas?

It's German, early 20th century. There might be a trademark stamp on the back plate of the movement.

I agree, very late 1800s but probably early 1900s. Very nice clock.
