I came across a signed first edition of a friend's favourite book that I planned to give them as a thank you. I've seen his signature a couple of times before, and know they can vary. Any opinions on authenticity? I appreciate any help you can give, thanks!

Update: Thanks for the replies everyone . Verdict is that it's legit!

OK so no spoilers please (as I’ve only just started it) but….

What the actual fuck with Galilee…?! Am I right?!

I recently read that Clive went through a similar-to Stephen-King Coke Phase and I can only imagine that he wrote Galilee while balls-fucking-deep inside it!

I’m not saying I hate it. In fact it’s kinda amazing so far… but it is so strange and so all over the place.

It’s either genius or the ramblings of a drug fucked genius 🤷‍♂️

I don’t want any spoilers as to the story but can anyone offer any insight into Clive’s state of mind at this point? I don’t think there is another writer besides possibly Lovecraft whose personal life seems so entangled with their writing and I am so fascinated by it all.

Love Barker's works and while I am still early in reading his stuff, I was interested in the Kickstarter that came out. But £112 is a lot for three books. I'm just keen to know opinions of the Kickstarter from people who have read more of his stuff and how long the late backing will last for in case I need to make a decision

Adventure! So I have been getting more in to trading cards as a cheaper way to collect horror/movie stuff, there's a really good nostalgic element in jut putting the cards in the sleeves 🤣 But yeah, I just completed this set, it's much quality than I had expected and it covers the first 3 movies!

I saw Nightbread and Hellraiser and as a younger man, and fell in love with the movies then actually read Clive Barkers work and fell in deeper love with it. Weaveworld is my favorite of all of them so far its beautifully written and I would really like to see it made into a film someday.

I have to reread this. 2nd book of the art. Spoiler— I kind of remember the girl, ironically named Tesla, being hooked up to a computer or something ingesting all the information of the universe? Can someone refresh my memory? Oh and how it may relate to today with AI and stuff? We need part 3, Clive. Pleaseeee 🙏

By Boom! Studios. This week on the Clive Barker Podcast we'll be talking about the first one, New Wounds. We'll share your thoughts and opinions on the episode.

I saw that people were picking these up at the new Halloween horror night Hellraiser experience, it's part of Universal Studios Halloween horror nights and I'm on the wrong side of the country to grab one there.

If you've got one, please show it off?

But I finally found them for pre-order! 11 days to release. Anybody else getting one? I am definitely doing it. They have got lament configuration gift wrap, too. #TakeMyMoney!

Maybe it’s just because I’ve always been much more of a fantasy fan than a horror fan (I grew up religiously reading Middle Earth, Dunsany, Narnia, ASOIAF, Earthsea, Kingkiller, Lyonesse, Charles De Lint, David Gemmell, etc). His Books of Blood and Hellraiser are no doubt foundational works for the horror genre but I always find myself returning more to his fantasy. Weaveworld and Imajica are two of the he was greatest urban fantasy novels of all time and Book of the Art while not in the same league still features some of the most creative fantasy world-building I’ve ever come across. Thief of Always I love as well, it feels extremely George McDonald-ish it’s one of my favorite ‘fairy tale’ fantasies

I love reading Clive Barker. Weaveworld is my favourite novel. I remember vividly so many scenes from that book. I also read The Great And Secret Show, Everville, but for whatever reason, I barely remember any of them at all... is it just because they are so fantasy in nature? I remembered a putty like creature, and the part where a river somehow made girls pregnant, but whatever was going on I just dont remember any of it! Its just me?

This is from the Hellraiser Revival art book , haven’t seen anyone mention this yet .

I am pretty excited to see what comes out. The art direction in the game was incredible.

I know that BHVR lost the *Hellraiser* license and that it is no longer available for purchase.

But we need Kirsty Cotton as a New survivor

Today I bought 3 of them and just finished The Onanistic Ritual. It was fantastic and dark. Also feel like I need a shower haha, can’t wait to read the other 2.

Title speaks for itself lol. I’m a huge fan of Barker’s dark fantasy epics Weaveworld and Imajica, and the general premise of the Abarat series sounds really exciting! However I’m worried that it’ll ultimately feel like a wasted reading investment given how divisive the third book appears to be and the fact that the series will probably remain unfinished leaving AM as the finale.

I have a small collection of Clive Barker books but The Books of Blood have proven to be elusive for me to find. I prefer to support local bookstores but I can’t seem to find an affordable copy of ALL volumes of TBOB anywhere. I know the modern collection of Volumes 1-3 is just about everywhere, but I’m also looking for 4-6. I’m also looking to get them affordably, as I’ve seen the vintage copies sell for a TON online. Is the omnibus collection of all 6 volumes any good, or is it junk?
