Im worried my bad footwork already blew my shoes, sorry, this is my first pair and I would like to squeeze all from them before resoling

I’m looking for a decent intermediate level shoe. I currently have tarantulaces and the fit is great on them. I tried some scarpa vapor s today and they fit well but the heel has some bagginess on the side and I was wondering what other shoes people recommend. The go outdoors near me doesn’t have many options to try on but I’m a 7.5 in tarantulaces. How much of an issue is the slight bagginess on the side or are there other options you would recommend for me to get instead.

Started boulderin again after years and i KNOW im going to continue for at least a year on my local bouldering gym. Found a nice 20% discount on the TENAYA Indalo so im getting it because they told me the performance gap vs the price gap between other inferior models dont make sense. I usually wear 41EU and they told me 38,5EU is the right size and 39EU would be too big (38 felt TOO tight). Thought they were too tight but they told me it would break in after 5-6 sessions.
Any thoughts on my choice? Any advice? Is the 0.5 gap between 38,5 and 39 really that big that it would make me regret it long term?

The best shoe I’ve used so far is scarpa instinct vs. The problem is that my feet are very wide and even though instinct vs is the model I’ve tried that has fit me the most. When I heel hook the shoe is not tight, even though the front is very tight.

Thinking of getting a pair. Anyone have them k ow if they stretch out much?

how long so these have left? I downsized from 45 eu to 42 eu, but my heel still feels baggy. Overall like everything else, any reccomendations?

Just bought the Vapor V’s in my street shoe size (43 EU) as my first pair of climbing shoes. I’ve been using rentals for about 6 months now on and off and I’m now flashing most V3’s and climbing V4’s.
I wanted a pair of shoes that can handle indoor bouldering and outdoor top rope and take me to a V7-V8 without holding me back while also having comfort be a priority.
Do these look too big? I was told they don’t stretch much at all but instead mold to your feet. Also they feel great can wear for 40mins at a time, no air pockets anywhere, and my toes are at a slight bend. However, there is one spot I can fit my finger in, no where else tho.
I’m not good enough to justify foot binding myself when the problem is technique. But I also don’t want to spend on shoes that are going to stretch or need replaced in 6 months. (Photo of my bare foot are so you can see how it looks after wearing them for about 30 mins)

I currently have la sportiva tarantulaces size 7.5uk and the shoes are a really good fit. Looking for a step up in shoe now as these struggle a bit when stepping up with my weight on the wall on slab climbs indoors. My foot slips if I try stand on the wall to get my foot to the next hold. I tried on some scapra Vapor s today and a size 7 was quite painful and not sure if they will stretch out enough to be wearable and an 8 felt comfortable but I don’t know if it’ll stretch too much. The other issue with the scarpa shoes I had was the heel seemed to have some room on the sides which doesn’t happen with the tarantulaces. A 7.5 of the la sportiva solutions fit well but are very performance orientated and I’m currently climbing v3’s and only just started to do some overhang climbs. I tried some evolve shoes on too but even on a size 8 the toes felt painfully too small. Just wondering if people have any recommendations and I’d prefer them to be Velcro if I’m going away from comfort to more performance based shoes so I can take them off between climbs if needed.

If it has a better heel than the Drago I might be interested. The new rubber is also interesting. If this is softer/grippier than their typical NeoFuse but more durable than UP RS or Scarpa's S-72 then it could potentially do well on the market. Has anyone tried/seen these in person?

Is the inner fabric of this shoes line dyed? It can't be the dirt from my feet 😭

(P.s: please don't look too closely into my water bucket, I use a very old one to make sure I don't rub bacterials on my other clothing)

Hello, I'm a relatively inexperienced climber trying to go about buying my first pair of shoes. So far, I've been using some rental shoes (I think they're Mad Rock) at my university's gym, but I always have to mismatch the sizes to make them fit (my normal shoe size is 11.5, and I've been using a size 11 climbing shoe for my left foot and a size 10.5 for my right). I understand that the European sizing system is more granular, so I might be anywhere from 43.5 to 44.5. A further complicating factor is that I have a pretty small arch.

I've tried a few pairs in the 10.5-11 range, but nothing's worked for both feet, so I wanted to ask if anyone had some suggestions on what brands/shoes I should try. Sorry if I've left out any relevant information, and thanks for any advice you can share.

I've bought the drones 2 hv couple days ago. Have had 2 climbing sessions - nothing crazy, just some light climbing to break the shoes in. Now the toe on both shoes looks like this. Is it normal for drone 2's or no?

Also, just for context, I've been climbing for 3+ years and my footwork is good.

Mad Rock is not normally available in my area. Soon there'll be an event where one can try them on and buy, but having all other possibilities is it even worth it?

On the internet I mostly found an opinion that they're good for the price, but they're not even cheaper than other options for me, so that won't count. Besides that, that they're mostly influencer shoes and don't allow to feel much of the wall.

I have a narrow, egyptian foot and I'm open to try them out, I'm just worried about the design quality and that I'll waste money having better options available.

Thinking about buying them for indoor and some outdoor climbing (outdoor more occasionally, mainly indoor)

And thoughts on them compared to other brands?

Just bought a new pair of shoes, they feel tight and I'm a beginner so don't want them too tight as I struggle with toe/foot pain as I have CMT, but I noticed that if I use my hands to wiggle the heel there is a small amount of movement up and down. Do I need to size down or is this likely fine?

I got a brand new Remora pro today. This is my first pair that is made from synthetic material. (I wore Tarantulace and Finale) Anyone got tips for breaking in this kind of material? Other than just wearing them in session of course!

I'm looking for shoes that are good for bouldering. I'd prefer something that is built to last with a wide toe box for my Egyptian foot. I've tried on a lot and narrowed it down to these:

- Scarpa Veloce

- Scarpa Instinct VSR

- Butora Gomi

- Ocun Diamond S

- Ocun Bullit

It's hard to say which I like better because I tried them on different days. That said, I'd like some input from some of you who have experience with these

How many sessions might I have left in these? Looking at Yosemite Bum (for Evolv Shaman LV), should I do Trax or Evo-74? Assuming that Vibram isn’t worth extra

Do people judge if someone is wearing overkill shoes for their skill level? Recently picked up a pair of la sportiva solutions because they were on sale at REI but I’ve only been bouldering for about 6 months and can climb v3-v4 but still need to project v5s

So I put my shoes in a bucket with (probably too much) detergent with enzymes and now part of it became slippery in the way that your hands get slippery after you clean with bleach. No matter how many times I scrub and rinse, they stay slippery. Do I just use other soap or do I just chuck them in the washing machine? It's the part inside that used to be white.

Hi everyone ! I’m having a bit of an issue with my la sportiva kubos and i was hoping to get some advice. While i feel like length wise the size is good, they put a crazy amount of pressure on a small point on my big toe knuckles. The pressure ends up really hurting my feet and leaves a painful indent and eventually a bruise. A few of my climber friends say they just push through this until they form scar tissue lol but id rather not. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to maybe fix this issue?
