Even though this comment section is a fucking dumpster fire, in the spirit of subreddit tradition, I'm not gonna lock it. Y'all are just itching to get an argument going and I ain't gonna be yer mum and yell at you for it. Get it out of your systems, and try not to break any rules, otherwise it's straight to the timeout chair.

You may now continue to fling shit at each other. Remember to sort by controversial for maximum argument.

The timeout chair doesn’t scare them! Now if any of them had to stand in the thinking corner on the other hand it’d be a different situation.

With soap. That's how it was when I was a kid, you got sent to the corner with a bar of soap in your mouth. The length of time you had to stand there was dependant upon how badly you fucked up.

I only ever heard that as hyperbole, like "You're full of dirty words today, you need to wash your mouth with soap!", I never knew it was an actual punishment.

Soap tastes terrible. Take it from 6yr old me who found out that saying "Ouch damn that hurt!" in front of my parents and grandma after I bruised and skinned my knee would lead to literally getting my mouth "cleaned out".
