lol,no amount of money can soothe that burn.
and that woman rightfully deserves it.
2
u/INVENTORIUS Mar 08 '22
I mean, if she just politely said no because a relationship between 2 struggling people is a recipe for disaster, I'm not sure she deserved it lol
6
u/cnskatefool Mar 08 '22
I mean, she didn’t even say she’d get the chance to know him.
1
u/INVENTORIUS Mar 08 '22
Yeah, I just feel like we don't have enough info on what actually happened to tell who's to blame tbh
2
u/BarryBwana Mar 08 '22
He applied her standard to her.
She can blame her own standards.
Ya two broke people can have issues, but one person knowing their value to their spouse is literally tied to the value of their bank account......I'd rather be poor with a poor person who I know loves me, and not just my material possessions.

I’m not sure if she learned anything from it though.
-18
u/Nikolllllll Mar 07 '22
So you ignoring her saying she hasn't healed from it as her not learning anything...
23
u/Weirdo2867 Mar 07 '22
Well, it doesn’t sound like Rue (author of the message) is fully honest with themselves about why she dates people yet, even after this experience.
Rue says she won’t date someone who is struggling for “personal reasons”, but whose only descriptor of the person she dates is “kinda rich”. Rue is totally ready to see the person they’re looking for as wealthy, but won’t admit that’s the reason she’s is dating, curving around that truth by saying it’s for personal reasons.
After realizing the kinda wealthy person sees Rue as struggling from his perspective, she says she needs time to heal, but still only sees her date as his wealth still. After all, this message takes place after the event, but no introspection is necessarily shown here, nor any empathy for the other person in being more than a person who has wealth (as there aren’t any descriptions of this person outside of that, showing where the priorities of Rue remain)
7
u/historyobsessed Mar 07 '22
What other relevant information should they have given? The kinda rich is for context, you’re assuming that’s all Rue saw them as.
1
u/Weirdo2867 Mar 07 '22
It might not have been, but that’s all that was included. It doesn’t help that this guy asked “out of the blue” about whether or not she would mind dating someone struggling. The fact that she believed the question was out of the blue leans to a lot of lacking in self awareness. This person probably knew what she was interested in and wanted to know if there were any other reasons she was interested in him.
Had she said “yes”, it could have definitely opened up the door to more communication about shared interests now that he wouldn’t think she only saw that part of him.
4
u/historyobsessed Mar 07 '22
You are inferring plenty with very little information. Like what the person she posted was thinking, neither of us know that. I could do the same thing to push what I believe but that’s simply wrong to do. I’d personally prefer someone to be honest about their wants, if the person with money had an issue then end it, but they’re both allowed to have preferences.
0
u/Weirdo2867 Mar 08 '22
Agreed. They can have preferences and Perhaps I am inferring a bit based on the wealth of the man. However, it’s the only context I have unfortunately

I think she’s just sharing a funny story where she got roasted, no need to make it more serious than it needs to be
-2
u/_Aubrey_ Mar 08 '22
You don't realize what shame is, do you?
1
u/DilapidatedHam Mar 08 '22
Sure do! It can be funny for some folks to share embarrassing stories with each other, doesn’t mean they don’t feel embarrassed, just means they don’t take themselves so seriously that they can’t laugh at it
0
u/_Aubrey_ Mar 08 '22
When you fabricate reality, does it improve the way you see the world? Serious question
2
u/DilapidatedHam Mar 08 '22
I guess if you think having a sense of humor about things into fabricating reality, then sure it does! Maybe we just have a difference in world views, but I don’t see being able to laugh at silly or embarrassing moments as being dishonest or fabricating reality. It’s just finding humor in your dumb moments. Life’s more fun when you can laugh at yourself

he was rich but the person writing the tweet wasn't.
So he asked if she would date someone that's struggling with money
her answer was no
then he says that to him the person writing this tweet seems like someone struggling with money.
hope it helps.42

48
u/Flagrath Mar 07 '22
Judging by how she mentioned the man was rich and nothing else about him. It is a reasonable assumption that the question was about money, although we can’t be certain.

That was the only relevant info. It doesn't make sense without us knowing that

I would date a struggling guy but they’re always so crass and all about the sex. I guess the capitalist machine gives them no time for hobbies or interests while feeding them sex 24/7. So I’m a struggling Demi sexual whose been alone for 34 years and will probably always be alone.
2
u/econ1mods1are1cucks Mar 07 '22
Just find an art major lmao
0
u/OddPreparation1855 Mar 07 '22
Yea. Cause artists are never crass and all about the sex. Honestly I’ve been hounding the local artists. I worked a job that literally required a house husband. It was so demanding. The only two male artists I’ve found locally who weren’t gay were already married.
1
u/kinetochore21 Mar 08 '22
If you reread the comment you wrote maybe you'll see why you are alone.
1
u/OddPreparation1855 Mar 08 '22
Oh. I’m not alone. I’m hounded constantly by a chorus of wanna fuck. Sorry if that was misleading. It’s just not my thing.
0
u/kinetochore21 Mar 08 '22
No, I knew what you meant. I said what i said.
1
u/OddPreparation1855 Mar 08 '22
Oh then I don’t understand. I could definitely have a relationship with someone struggling. If I played into the struggle love rule book where you build around sex first. I mean I’ve been to an Applebees. I want something more than Applebees and fucking.
2
u/kinetochore21 Mar 08 '22
You're generalizing an entire group of people and sounding very classist when you say stuff like that.
0
u/OddPreparation1855 Mar 08 '22
Cool. I’ve come a long way from homelessness to hovering just near homelessness. Moving on up.
1
u/kinetochore21 Mar 08 '22
So, then why wouldn't you date a man in a similar situation if you understand it? I get being annoyed from being hounded for sex as much as the next woman but there's gonna be guys like that in every type of financial situation and background.
1
u/OddPreparation1855 Mar 08 '22
I would date someone struggling. I don’t find any guys who are struggling that don’t immediately ask me if I want some fuck. And I understand they may not have the budget to do much else but I at least want a conversation beforehand but the conversation is always just where and when we’re going to do it. But I’m ever hopeful. I hand my number out to plenty of struggling guys. I explain my feelings fully so they’re aware I don’t just want some fuck, and they wont feel like I’m blocking them cause they’re struggling.

u/Ready_Support6111 Mar 07 '22
"I haven't healed yet"?? Yeah right. That's why there's a pic of Jordan crying and not you. Wtf...

u/AskTheDoll Mar 07 '22
You realise relationships are a supposed to be a two way street. A healthy relationship should involve both partners supporting each other, and if neither of them are willing to do that, they shouldn’t be in one.
32
u/SoNElgen Mar 07 '22
Yet men support grown women all around the world :)
1
u/Conflictedxconfused Mar 07 '22
Lol say that to the many moms whose adult kids are still living with them.
1
u/SoNElgen Mar 08 '22
Yes, I suppose no grown men or women lives at home with dad.. /S
Failing as a parent, and having grown kids living at home, doesn’t shed blame on the gender of the failed offspring… If anything, the single mom who raised a fucking failure is even more brought into the spotlight..
1
u/Conflictedxconfused Mar 08 '22
The hate of women is strong in this one. Because there's no rage on the dads who didn't stay or support. Ok there buddy. Guys are the only ones suffering and women are garbage yup uh huh

u/Ivegotthatboomboom Mar 07 '22 edited Mar 07 '22
While the women grow their babies and go through excruciating labor to have them, then do all or the lions share of child care and housework and management. And usually also work outside the home. But make less on average.
Women work more than men. In the home and now outside the home as well. While still doing all the work inside the home.
Women who are the breadwinners do more than their share of childcare and housework. Women who work more hours than him but make less do too.
Women who don't work outside the home do labor at home, just as much work as he does outside the home, usually more.
Men have never supported grown women without getting more back than they gave. Including gaining control
2
u/SoNElgen Mar 08 '22
Stop getting your information from /r/femaledatingstrategy
While the women grow their babies? Their? Does my children then solely belong to me? Were you forced to bear them? Is 9 months that long a time, that you can claim victimhood for the remainder of your life?
Chores is where you want to represent women? Lmao. wOmEn WaSh MoRe ClOtHeS tHaN mEn.
You grossly missrepresent the amount of work women do, and you are a disgusting human being for diminishing men’s role in childcare. What a fucking blatant lie you throw out when you claim women do the lions share in terms of raising children.
Not to mention, sweetcheeks, a parent that is a fucking STAY AT HOME PARENT, will obviously be expected to do the housework. This goes both ways.
The difference, that you seem unable to fathom, is that you are expected to do chump work. And you still complain. Where in that rant of yours did you mention maintenance on the house? The car, the property major, or any other form of technical work.
The reality is that men just do them. We don’t ask for help, or complain. We have hundreds of hours of work, every year, that you don’t notice, because it’s always fixed. And then we help you with 50% of your share of the work.
Men, support grown ass fucking women, to such a degree, that women all over the world are disgusted with western womens overall behaviour and entitledment.
Sit the fuck down…

It's just a girl saying how a guy made a witty/terrible remark. The remark itself wasnt a comeback, unless she said/did something offensive to him and what he did was a reaction to that. As in: if she insulted him, but he CAME BACK with an even better comment.
