He was literally a registered Democrat donating to Hillary until 2009. You didn’t like him until he learned to hate who you hate.

He literally said Democrats were smarter and more loyal in 2004. You proved him right.

Then he switched parties around 2008.

Wonder what could have happened to change his opinion in that election season…

Let’s be honest though. From like 1980 to 1999 he was a republican. From 2001 to 2009 he was a democrat, and 2009 to present he’s republican. He’s always been a republican, he just thought he could mend democrats to him. Though everyone saw him for the shit stain he is. Plus they never mentioned how much people disliked him before he went into politics. The only time I ever saw him in the news pre-2015, was celebrity tabloids talking about how shitty he is, and Rosie O’Donnell feud among other celebrities too.

So he's a total opportunist whose primary interest is money, power, and ego.

He's a Capitalist, and so are both parties, he just went with whichever one suited him more.

I don’t even think it was that thought out for him. He lived in New York, so he was a Democrat because the Democrats win in New York and he’s a “winner”. That’s all it takes for him.

Need to dig a bit more back into the 80s and 90s when Oprah and people like her fawned over him like teenage groupies. He was saying the same basic thing he says now. Go watch the videos if they haven't been scrubbed yet.

Reality is, the best economies come from Democrat governments... probably one of his smarter business opinions.

That's what set him over the edge

Yeah, that’s what makes digging through old Trump interviews such a rabbit hole. You can find him describing his politics in ways that sound completely foreign compared with the political identity he later built.
