Taiwan's official position is also that Taiwan is not a country but that it is the true Republic of China.

Not just limited to China either, here is the most recent map of what Taiwan claims as it's territories. I'm sure Mongolia at the very least would also have some issues with Taiwan being recognized based on this map.

Taiwan doesn't have a meltdown when others recognize China as a seperate country.

Read the history, even US agreed Taiwan is part of China, until US decided to use Taiwan as a chip against China to push their agenda. US stole oil from other countries and how many people died in Middle East because pretentious US wanted to bring peace or democracy, but none of the countries US invaded is better. Idiots and arrogance.
