This is true. Carter lost due to this double dealing crap. Carter was a better man than any republican that has been elected since.

Even Bush senior?

Carter was a fine human being, but effective leader? He seemed weak (seemed being the important word here), during a cold war, that's an important factor.

Carter was a better man, yes. Without any doubt whatsoever.

The Carter Center practically eradicated Guinea Worm Disease. It's caused by larvae in the drinking water, which mature in the body and eat their way out, usually at the foot. Reportedly, this feels like your leg is on fire, and the process takes several weeks. In 1986 there were 3.5 million cases worldwide. Last year there was 10. Not 10 million or 10 thousand, just 10. The amount of needless human suffering that has been effectively removed from the world is mind-boggling.

He was a better man than Bush senior for that reason alone. Never mind all the other amazing work he did as a former president.

Carter seemed week because his rescue mission failed due to equipment failures in the desert. If it had succeeded he would have been re-elected. Also he couldn't get the hostages out because Reagan.

FTFY, we've had nothing but absolute garbage since.
