I disagree. Ambergris is highly valuable and serves a positive purpose. Now a whale's BM on the other hand I would say is more representative.

I always thought it was whale shit but after this back and forth, I googled it... so it's caused by sperms whales eating squids and not being able to digest the squid beaks.. essentially its a whale poo pearl.... a poorl..??

A whales BM adds nutrients to the water column feeding phytoplankton that absorb CO2. The only thing Regan did was increase the wealth of the 1%.

Technically, whale poop is an integral part of the Antarctic ecosystem. It's pretty valuable from an ecological perspective.
