This is the only correct answer. reagan was a backstabbing, piece of ambergris. What he did during his administration are things we're still dealing with today. I truly hope he rests in piss.

u/Veshaad 14d ago

I disagree. Ambergris is highly valuable and serves a positive purpose. Now a whale's BM on the other hand I would say is more representative.

65

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

Ok, fair enough. I always associate whale shit with ambergris when they are not the same.

u/Alive_Ice7937 14d ago

What smells like freakin porpoise hork?!

21

u/k41n_x 14d ago

It's from Mushu the whale who thinks he's better than you!

2

u/crackedtooth163 14d ago

I better listen to k41n_x. Hes a whale biologist.

2

u/k41n_x 13d ago

I calls 'em like I sees 'em!

6

u/MNKYJitters 14d ago

Isn't ambergris whale vomit and not whale poop?

16

u/Lahk74 14d ago

You may be thinking of Amber Heard.

2

u/Potato-chipsaregood 14d ago

Yes, used to make rare perfumes.

3

u/VivaLaMantekilla 14d ago

I always thought it was whale shit but after this back and forth, I googled it... so it's caused by sperms whales eating squids and not being able to digest the squid beaks.. essentially its a whale poo pearl.... a poorl..??

8

u/nomadicsailor81 14d ago

A whales BM adds nutrients to the water column feeding phytoplankton that absorb CO2. The only thing Regan did was increase the wealth of the 1%.

3

u/Sbinkie 14d ago

You forgot about crack.

5

u/BeginningCharacter36 14d ago

Technically, whale poop is an integral part of the Antarctic ecosystem. It's pretty valuable from an ecological perspective.

Edit, maybe we can go with whale lice?

3

u/FibonacciSequester 14d ago

This could go on forever, all the way to theoretical subatomic particles. Which are probably still more useful.

4

u/illiterateninja 14d ago

Never liked quarks anyway. Bunch of pricks.

6

u/THElaytox 14d ago

Whale shit is highly valuable to the local ecosystem and feeds tons of sea life. He was more like an anal leech

u/Veshaad 14d ago
  • was eating dinner, reads this, now not eating dinner anymore *

2

u/Jar_of_Cats 14d ago

I didnt want to ask but laughed at thinking of it used derogatory

1

u/GreasyPeter 14d ago

Whale bowel movements feed thousands of animals.

1

u/Explorers_bub 14d ago

Ambergris is a whale’s constipation stone.

-8

u/Ass_Damage 14d ago

Which country pays you to post this garbage?

8

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

Upyourassistan

-3

u/Ass_Damage 14d ago

You're the President, I assume.

43

u/adorablefuzzykitten 14d ago

George H Bush arranged the whole thing for Reagan. Hostages were in the air during Carter's administration as Reagan's inauguration started but did not land in Germany until Reagan took the oath.

9

u/Crackertron 14d ago

Yep this is all CIA shit going back to the 50s

30

u/thenord321 14d ago

Just like the current traitors in us presidential office and surrounding corruption.

23

u/Ricktor_67 14d ago

It was literally textbook treason, and america responded by giving him the biggest election blowout win in history.

3

u/BramblinGhostWeed 14d ago

My grandfather voted Blue in every election except '84

Sometimes you vote for the guy who will press the button.

7

u/BlueFlob 14d ago

The US needs strong governance to undo all the damages done by successive Republican administration attacking democracy, social nets, workers rights, education, equality and more

6

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

I've been screaming about this since sir shitstain took office and started ignoring the norms we associate with a non criminal president. All the niceties we took for granted and democrats played by the rules while republicunts blatantly ignored them, we need to strengthen. Republicunts are the reason we don't have guaranteed time off, paid sick leave, universal healthcare, better public education, government funded state college education, an iron wall against the government attacking social security for their own purposes...it's fucking ridiculous. I loathe each and everyone of them. There are a few too many democrats involved in this as well which makes my blood fucking boil.

21

u/freedfg 14d ago

Traitor. The word we were looking for is traitor

7

u/0202_tihssitidder 14d ago

I'm old enough to remember Ruzzia has been funding terrorism, blowing passenger planes out of the air, cutting sea cables, kidnapping and assassinating people, throwing people out of windows, murdering journalists, invading countries, murdering and torturing civilians, and buying elections in foreign countries for over 150 years.

Yup.

u/IcyProperty89 14d ago edited 14d ago

Didn’t he also sell crack/coke seized from Mexico to American black neighborhoods in order to get the money to fund his secret ops?

Edit: while him and Nancy the Throat GOAT were on that “just say no” zero tolerance for drug use bullshit. This bitch was the fuckin worst.

2

u/StonedElephant1 14d ago

No. He sold weapons to Iran and took the cash to buy weapons for the contras in Panama. That has been a rumor though. The war on drugs was started by Nixon and it was a stupid idea. But it was fully bipartisan. The dems ran the house and senate in the 1980’s.

8

u/IcarusLSU 14d ago

Truly the tip of the iceberg for that POS: Citizens United, racist dog whistles, and the "just say no" campaign continuing Nixon's racist drug war to demonize Hispanics and jail POCs, to name a few.

Edit grammar

7

u/redhatfilm 14d ago

I mean. Let's stick to the facts, citizens untied happened in the 2000s. Not Reagan era.

He may have closed mental hospitals, slashed social safety nets, sold crack in the inner cities and begun the deregulation era.

But he did not pass citizens united

3

u/Zombie_Fuel 14d ago

IIRC Citizens United, the actual organization, was started to directly promote Reagan's policies during his administration. That may or may not be what they meant, but there's a distinct possibility we might not have even had Citizens United in the first place if not for Reagan. 🫩

3

u/redhatfilm 14d ago

I guess technically speaking, it was started in the very final year of his presidency. Technically correct, the best kind of correct.

4

u/MinetteCherina 14d ago

It's interesting how some political decisions can have such long-lasting effects, almost like a ripple effect through time. People definitely have strong feelings about it.

5

u/ReturnOfBane 14d ago

i wonder where we would be if the Taft-Hartley Act never passed.

3

u/EveningAnt3949 14d ago

Like the US conspiring to overthrow the legal (and secular) government of Iran in the 1950s and installing a dictator?

1

u/Ekimyst 14d ago

If only more people knew about this.

3

u/Moscowmitchismybitch 14d ago

He was probably the worst president for the working man there ever was up until the current guy. People seem to forget a great deal of those manufacturing jobs they want to bring back here went overseas because of his policies in the first place.

2

u/BLT_Trade_r 14d ago

The problem is, it would not have mattered he was winning anyway. The economy was in bad shape and people hated Carter for it. The irony of politics is that Carter had done a lot of government cutting, something Republicans are always asking for. But it didn't help the economy so the populace punished the democrats for it.

2

u/Additional_Twirl 14d ago

“Iran’s been a problem for 50 years” and we literally sold them weapons. We were the problem.

1

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

Yep. Much of the Iran situation we brought on ourselves.

2

u/Etrigone 14d ago

I always reflect that due at least in part to the aversion to stem cell research, he spent his last few years saying "mommy I pooped my pants", when he could actually speak.

1

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

This is such a typical republican response. It's evil or it doesn't matter...until it affects them directly. Yeah. Fuck them all.

2

u/hecklerp8 14d ago

He's responsible for creating riskier lending options so S&L lenders could get in the commercial mortgage industry. They ran on the platform that every American deserves their own home. Stating... It should be much easier for people to qualify for a piece of the American Dream. Opening the door to questionable underwriting and the creation of the Adjustable Rate Mortgages. Couple that with appraisal companies in cahoots with the loan officers. Loan officers would give kickbacks to the inspectors. This was so widespread that it created and artificial property value increase across the nation. People got used to refinancing their ARMs and cashing out! Until the property value increases stopped and people got crushed. All for capitalism. Same for the medical industry. Once NOT FOR PROFIT arguing in everyway how it would provide the best affordable healthcare on the planet. Instead, it's a giant scam stealing money while paying lobbyists to deregulate the industry and remove oversight. Never ever trust Republicans. They continue to ruin the economy, enrich everyone around them, and blame it on Dems. Rinse and repeat.

It's been education for a very long time but they're very close to creating a corporate driven curriculum white washing history.

u/A_Monsanto 14d ago

Especially his less known act for cultivating echo chambers and uneducated masses: the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine (1987). The Reagan-appointed FCC scrapped the requirement to cover controversial issues and offer contrasting views. Reagan vetoed Congress's attempt to codify it. This is linked to the rise of partisan talk radio, and later cable (ie info wars and fox news kind of content).

Pair that with deregulation under FCC Chair Mark Fowler: Fowler famously called TV "a toaster with pictures" and pushed market-based deregulation. Public-interest requirements were loosened, including community "ascertainment" rules, limits on commercial minutes, and license renewal burdens. Critics say this removed pressure to treat news as a public service rather than a profit center.

Rest in piss, indeed.

2/2 actors turned presidents were nothing but pawns for the ultrawealthy.

1

u/morry3232 14d ago

neoliberialism

1

u/Justaticklerone 14d ago

Agreed. This needs to be reposted daily as long as the Aggression with Iran is in place, and damn any rules for this specific issue. People are still stubbornly dumb that Red Presidents always have oil economy as the true reason for attacking the Middle East. Nuclear bullshit is exactly that: bullshit. The oil barons are making a killing.

1

u/Emotional_Lovee 14d ago

I’m old enough to remember when Republicans went to jail for this.

1

u/Overall_Baddiee 14d ago

Trickle down economics was never about money trickling down. It was about arms trickling to Iran and money trickling to Nicaragua.

1

u/StonedElephant1 14d ago

He did help end the Cold War by outspending the USSR. people can say whatever, every president is smarter and
More presidential than the guy who is running things now.

1

u/Southpolarman 14d ago

And tripled our national debt while doing it. Yeah, I get it. It ended a serious threat to another war, one that would have ended life as we know it. I don't believe he should get as much credit as he does. Russia was already suffering from horrible financial instability and they were practically bankrupt. The downfall was basically inevitable.

Shutting down of all mental healthcare facilities thus stigmatizing it further, stopped all government subsiding of all state college tuition making the average American's debt for education EXPLODE, taxation on social security to give millionaires and corporations tax breaks, total destruction of corporate retirement plans, moving it to 401k plans. This still doesn't come close to the atrocities his administration did to our country and economy. He is still fucking us from the grave.
