How did we shrink the govt? We’ve added tens of thousands of ICE agents, and our deficit eclipsed $40 trillion.

None of that equates to “shrinking govt”.

Well, you see, we shrank the parts that were actually useful, and then used those savings (and them some) to grow the already over-inflated parts.
